I 100% understand. This was a crowdfunding event for them to work on the game. The  issue is they're not working on the game. Redgart just started a Patreon so he's obligated to put out stuff for his Patreons rather than working on this project.  Satyroom keeps falling behind on his Patreon stuff and some of his patreon's get pissy about it so he focuses on that instead of this. Everyone that is part of this collective has other obligations on things that make them money and they are not obligated to finish this. It has been over 3 and a half years since anyone from the development team has posted anything which is often a sign of a "we spent the money and have lost desire to keep going". This happens ALL the time unfortunately. It happened to a Kickstarter game called First Degree Murder, it happened to Eldet, and it happens all the time and the major sign that it is happening here is the lack of communication. Signs of a dead project is either being told by the devs that project has been minimal or straight up silence which is what we're experiencing now.  I don't think they purposefully abandoned it or started the crowdfunding with intention of not finishing things, but they certainly aren't actively working on it over their other projects and I highly doubt we'll see both games completed.  Their last post on social media was also over 3 years  ago.  They started out giving weekly update progression and now they can't even give a monthly or even yearly updates.  I think it's understandable for people to feel like their money was stolen like what happens with other crowdfunding projects.

Whether intention or unintentional, they stole money from the gay community. The people in this collective have other obligations to their patreons or gumroad or commissions or whatever other ways they have to make money and are focused on those who give them money monthly before doing anything with this project meaning it's never going to be completed. I guess you could try reaching out to them on social media or if you're a patreon member for something or their discords or if you have any of their contact info. It's been years since they posted anything here so I don't think they care.

I take it that you starting a patreon means you now have obligations to fulfill for your patreon members meaning the redroom collective is dead. This group you were a part of stole money from the gay community, used, it, and now you all need to find other ways to keep making money which means the project is never getting finished.

Not really interested in straight content.

While I'm happy there's more Phillip stuff, I'm super bummed that the MC can get with everyone but Phillip. Of course the people who don't like that part of Phillip's story would vote no to that, it was silly to make a poll about it.

I don't normally like AI stuff, but this was pretty well done. The guys were all my type and Haku and Dean were the first I went for, but went back for the rest. I liked the mystery aspect and the style. Also, atmosphere of the game was good. Sound and music also fit the game well. My biggest complaints are that the game was too short for the price (especially on Steam where I got it) and there weren't many NSFW scenes and some of those few scenes were too similar to each other and sometimes the view points were placed in a way where you can't see much (like the wine scene). I look forward to seeing what the future brings with the dev.

I played the game on Steam and I didn't have super high expectations because of AI and the demo featured only bears which isn't really my thing, but I noticed there were other guys when looking at the page and decided to give it a go because a lot of gay games tend to lean more twink which also isn't really for me and I felt there was still potential and I'm glad I did.

I'm really glad we had the college guys because that ended up being my favorite part of the game and even though I'm not a big fan of AI I have to admit this was very well done. I thought the voices were decent and the animations were far better than what I typically see with AI stuff. The story was also interesting.

My negatives are too many dream sequences ending in an interruption. The game was also too short and quick to finish. While the phone stuff started out interesting I didn't really care for it as the game went on and getting the notifications in the middle of things was distracting. I also didn't like trying to find  the story pages as those stories are similar to stories you can find anywhere and the puzzle pieces were annoying to find. I don't mind rhythm games, but the songs went on so long I switched to story just to finish them quickly. I think instead of all the pages, puzzles, phone, and rhythm stuff the time and effort put into those could have gone into adding more to the story or maybe a scene with Noah which we didn't get much of.

Anyway, I believe the future looks bright for the series and can't wait to see more of Jake, Malcolm, and Trevor.

I don't usually like AI, but this was better than most. The atmosphere is really well done and I'm interested to see where things go. The music videos were really funny, but there were so many in just one chapter I could see it getting kind of old over time.

(1 edit)

If you turn off all MxF and FxF content you're forced to lose corruption

While Fabien is great, I'm sad we won't be getting more Peter stuff for the foreseeable future

Thank you

Haha, whelp that free patreon subscription went quick. I guess I need to check my feed more often.

Makoa :)

I understand why you're switching to unity, but I personally prefer VNs in renpy as it tends to run better on my computer and the scroll back, skip forward, and auto forward options function a lot better as do saves between versions so I hope Exes will continue on renpy...

I gotta say, I'm impressed by the communication and constant movement forward. Better than a lot devs out there.

Thanks for keeping us up to date. I understand it takes time to fix bugs and I would rather wait for the game to be released without them.

I also agree with those.

I just discovered this game and it's very well done.  I'm so glad that I have something new to look forward to. I just wish someone put together a CG guide or something. Keep up the good work!

I think the MC looks better too. I had a roommate in college who was in the military and he was very muscular and smooth. His skin was a little dark as I believe he had family from Tel Aviv and closeted me had a crush on him. He also had a cute military friend that would come over as well.

Same thing happened to me. I'm not sure what caused it though.

Looks good, but the patreon price is a little high for me.

I looooved Doubleleaf's artwork in Coming out on Top and I can't wait to see more for this game! This is really great news!

This was really good. Seems very ambitious. I just kind if wish some of the masculine guys also liked masculine guys, but most seem to prefer femininity which seems to be the way to go or you get locked out of many paths. It would also be nice to know what some of the items in the inventory are because it can be hard to tell by the small picture.

Thank you

Is there a way to turn off the pixelation?

I feel the same :(

I love the artwork so much. I can't wait.

The guide isn't updated or complete right? I used my sponsor database info to log in and there doesn't seem to be complete day 4 stuff.

So far so good. I like how we can choose a dom or sub route. My only complaint is the MC looks exactly like James Charles.

Diego is my favorite, but the new version of Olli may be competing for my favorite. Hope the stretch goal is hit.

Out of curiosity, what ever happened to that Bara Island game you were making? I really liked the art work in the previews.
