MY JAW JUST HIT THE FLOOR :O put a $5-10 price on this when you release it and i'll happily pay to play that port! this level of work and dedication deserves payment.

Thanks for the files! I had no problems using them. I was after .IT and .MOD files, and you didn't disappoint. I wasn't expecting to have Moves Like Jagger and Party Rock Anthem in the game I've inserted them into, but they fit the vibe well lol if you do another pack I wouldn't mind a few more metal or rock oriented tunes if that's possible

Can't wait to see what you've got in store for the mobile port, I'll definitely check that one out as well when it comes out

(this is review of the product in terms of marketing, not a review of the gameplay, because we simply cant justify it.... game looks great)

would've happily paid $10-$20 for a rom, but 57 USD + international shipping fees is a CRAZY price for a gameboy game (im canadian, so that $57 is more like $80.

you do you, but i cant say i'm impressed with the sales model of your product. i know you wanna sell your carts and make a profit, but all you've done is chase me away from the game for now, and ensuring i'll eventually download a dubiously obtained rom file when one becomes available.

i wanna support your game, but i just CANT at that price, especially considering currency rates. gi ahead and call that a "me" problem, but im sure im not the only one who wanted to support this game but cant justfy it.

for that price, i can get a modern ps5 game with online support that will provide more than 10 hours of gameplay lol its not like the cartridge is sought after, so i couldnt even sell it to get my money back, because nobody knows about this game, theres no way you can sell somebody on a used gameboy game they havent heard of before at 50+

a rom would've been the way to go here. you want your game in as many hands as possible. those who like it will give you money to support it..... but not THAT much money lol maybe if i played through the gane first and enjoyed it enough to offer you that price..... but its a GB game..... expectations are limited.

as i said, i would've happily thrown you $20 for the rom, but a converted $57 USD to CAD + shiiping fees is a gouge and a half that i cant justify.

game looks great, that price is vile though haha best of luck, fingers crossed i dont end up with a dubious rom version lolol

As an avid fan of Pokemon Puzzle Challenge on GBC, I could literally smell the quality of this puzzler through my screen before I even downloaded it! I know a good game when I see one, I've been playing for the last 29 years. This is essentially an Apotris build for penel de pon, and that makes me happy.

I'm gonna dive in now, and if I find anything that's noteworthy (be it broken or questionable) I'll report back.

~

So I spent last night and this morning playing!I have nothing bad to say,

but I do have a few suggestions!

Number 1, I wasn't able to find a way to look at my score.

Call me old school, but I like keeping up with myself. I wanna do better than I did last time I played, and I want a fast way to look at my previous scores. It's the only way I could see my current benchmark and surpass my best. It's a MUST HAVE feature of any game with a scoring system and leaderboards.

Secondly, and this is way less of a gripe,

But I think 1 thing all Panel De Pon style games are missing, is a way to rotate your cursor! If I could also move pieces up and down, instead of just left and right, combo potential would increase exponentially, making the game even more fun 🤷‍♂️ could be a feature locked to a specific mode, where as the classic style gameplay could be implemented everywhere else.... Essentially a "modern" and "classic" mode for marathon.

Thirdly, I'd suggest implementing a simple song skip button. Pause the game and hit a certain button to skip the currently playing track, just for peace of mind lol

Other than those suggestions, I think this is hand down in my top 3 puzzle games.

Your game, Apotris, and Dr. Mario Mania get my highest of recommendations 🤘

What a wonderful little sound machine!!!! I made a couple of loops inspired by the ominous songs you hear in early pokemon games!

It's fairly easy to use, even with touch screen controls on retroarch (Im partial the the TurboGrafx controller overlay for its shoulder button placement)

If I could add 1 dream feature to a future build, it would be the ability to add some sort or portmanteau to bend notes

There's currently the sweep and (modulation?) time functions, along with the time and volume (the ones at the top) settings for each note..... If played with correctly, I've gotten notes to swell into eachother nicely, so you can KIND of do portmanteau, but it's very finicky and technical to make it happen, and there's no vibrato

That's what I would add, if I could.

But I understand there ARE limitations with the hardware.

Lol now I'm just rambling, but what if LIVE to see, is this on the SNES, with different sound fonts..... I'm talking a Konami soundfont, a Capcom soundfont, a Bandai/Natsume soundfont, and a Blizzard one too..... Get all of those signature tones, but with the ability to modify the wave forms.

The bandai/Natsume drum sounds in particular are a favorite of mine, along with the palm muted guitar chug, used in games like the Power Rangers games or Gundam Wing: Endless Duel

Sorry for rambling 🤣 I like the program alot, it's something I've actually been after for a long time, an authentic way to program simple video game music myself. It's lo-fi and accessible, unlike so many programs for working with audio.

Added to my repertoire of strange synthesizer equipment!

Thanks for this hidden gem!

Dude this is really well made!!!! Would LOVE to see a bop-it extreme 2 variant of the game made for a system that could support the 5 buttons needed for that version of bop-it.

Perhaps the Sega Genesis with the 6 button controller, or the SNES could work.

The GBA could also be viable, with emulators handling a comfortable button remap for the select button that'd be needed to run that on a GBA.

I'd be willing to pay for a bop-it Extreme 2 variant of the game if you ever made that.

I used to play on a physical one for HOURS with someone who used to be a friend back in 2009, and I've been "chasing the dragon" so to say, ever since
