I really like games like this so I had a lot of fun. I especially like that sewing animation to place stitches. The gameplay was satisfying but it was so hard to keep a clean board. The pantomimes can't go anywhere 😖
Great game!!
Great aesthetic and use of a palette. The main character is very cute and she is animated well.
The gameplay is also some the best I've played in the jam so far. Random generation and digging straight down felt great which was helped by satisfying sounds and upgrades. The jet boots and shooting felt kinda like Noita or Terraria which is a plus! Definitely a game I can see someone playing a few times through to get a good time.
A fun platformer! I really wish the jump was bound to space bar but I did start to get good at it. The wide array of movement options made for some pretty fun impromptu skips. The last level was hard but I was satisfied with the ending. The music track was soothing and fit well and the pixel art was top notch!
The most visually impressive game I've seen so far. The physics felt fine and it didn't take long to get used to the controls although I wish I could invert mouse.
Huge fan of the huge sandwich level and I even made my own superior sandwich that explodes when you try to eat it. I couldn't make it past the honeycomb level just because the placing physics were a little too difficult to wrangle. I wish it had an auto-correction mechanism like with the sandwich placing. That level did help me discover I could prop-fly pretty easily and use it to fly around quickly, so that was fun too!
This game is so cute! I love the vaporwave aesthetic for this.
I couldn't make it very far unfortunately due to the sheer difficulty. Just by carrying the gun my charge drains way too fast to sustain off of enemies and crystals alone. I made it much further by ignoring the gun the kicking enemies which was fun. Just wish the kick had a bit of knockback.
The sound and music were still awesome though and add a lot, especially the overcharge vocals coming in is a nice touch.
For accessibility, it would've been nice to have an options menu with sensitivity slider, the ability to invert mouse, and a volume slider
With a round of gameplay polish you could have a really run game on your hands. Good job!
Very on-theme and the game is pretty easy to understand and play. The card-placing and points-gaining feedback is very juicy. I also appreciate having in-game references for controls. I would say the UI is a little cluttered and could use some quick show/hide buttons or sub-menus for things like the shop. The default speed or raising and lowering the card is too low, but I like that its easy to change.
Fun little game. The visual are of course very cool although I wish it was easier to see the damage cards will do without having to mouse over them. The main combat mechanic is easy to understand once you know to match colors. There's still lots of room to add additional effects on cards or unique enemy types. Good job!
I love the idea of making a game using ordinary playing cards to save on printing! The art included is also very cute. Having the characters represent the suits is amazing. Although I do wish there were more diagrams in the manual; the suits each have a unique identity, which is good! Next time I recommend creating a Table Top Simulator version for easy playtest and distribution.
I couldn't quite figure out how to get into the castle, but I loved the opening cutscene and the enemy sprites. I would've liked to see more of the game's assets made in this style and more of the game's character expressed through the game's keywords and items. Don't be afraid to put NPCs around that tell the player where to go.
Thanks for the awesome music. Used it for a jam game!
