Had a blast with this. Kind of a shame there’s no leaderboard because I probably would’ve kept playing for hours just to get to the top. I ended up closing the game at 100k.
I did get some lag during the run, but it never crashed for me. Funny enough, once I got ridiculously powerful and started wiping everything out faster, there were fewer enemies on screen and the lag pretty much disappeared.
This is such a simple idea, but the execution is really good.
At first, I thought it would be cooler if I could actually aim and throw the knives myself. But after playing a bit, I kind of changed my mind. If I’m the one throwing, it starts feeling like I’m playing with someone else’s life. Only being able to control the spin button somehow makes it feel way more personal, like I’m the one taking the risk.
Not having control over the knives is honestly what makes it feel like real gambling.
Great first jam entry! Would help to have an arrow or something to help guide the player towards the goal. After a few spins i had lost all my sense of direction! But very enjoyable, good job.
