Hybris: The Hundred Floors

Turn-based combat

Hybris: The Hundred Floors is out on Windows and Android: a turn-based roguelite in pixel art where you climb a tower of Greek myth, one floor at a time.

No map, no filler. Every floor is a fight, every reward is a choice between three cards, and you only get one life. Fall, and you start over from floor 1.

What's inside:

  • 100 floors across ten realms, from a goblin camp and cursed woods to the Underworld and the Pantheon, then an endless Beyond for high scores.
  • Ten guardians, ten different tricks. At half HP each one changes the rules: the Goblin King calls his whole camp, the Ancient Treant roots itself and grows back... and it only gets worse from there.
  • Two cells, one key. Free one hero of myth out of two: Achilles or Medea, Cassandra or Perseus, Atalanta or Odysseus. Some pairs unlock synergies.
  • Loot you can see: six rarity grades, gems and passives, and every outfit and weapon shows on your characters in battle (140 outfits, 150+ weapons, all animated frame by frame).
  • Enzo the Mischievous, a merchant who is convinced "the Mischievous" is a noble title.

$2.99, in English, French and Russian. Not sure yet? There's a free Windows demo with the whole first realm, up to the Goblin King.

Thanks for reading, and good luck on the climb!

Hi! I'm a solo dev and I just released Hybris: The Hundred Floors, a turn-based roguelite in pixel art where you climb a tower of Greek myth.

How it plays: no map, no filler. Each floor is one turn-based fight, then you pick one of three rewards: rest, armor, weapon or item. You only get one life. Die, and you start over from floor 1 with nothing but your records and your bestiary.

Turn-based combat

What's in it:

  • 100 floors across ten realms, from a goblin camp and cursed woods to the Underworld and the Pantheon, then an endless Beyond for high scores. Each realm has its own monsters, a lieutenant on floor 9 and a guardian on floor 10.
  • Ten guardians, ten different tricks. At half HP each one changes the rules: the Goblin King calls his whole camp, the Ancient Treant roots itself and grows back... and they get nastier from there.
  • Two cells, one key. On three guardian floors you find two heroes of myth locked up, and you can only free one: Achilles or Medea, Cassandra or Perseus, Atalanta or Odysseus. Some pairs in your party unlock synergies.
  • Loot that matters: six rarity grades, item levels, gem slots and random passives. Everything you equip shows on your characters in battle: 140 outfits and 150+ weapons, all animated frame by frame.
  • Enzo the Mischievous, a merchant who shows up every five floors to sell, buy back, upgrade and set gems. He is convinced "the Mischievous" is a noble title.
  • Elite floors when you feel lucky: one more enemy, harder hits, better loot.

What I'd love feedback on:

  1. Difficulty: do the first 10 floors feel too easy, fair or too punishing? Where did you die?
  2. Rewards: is it clear which of the three cards is the better pick for you?
  3. The Goblin King at half HP: did his trick feel fair, or did it come out of nowhere?
  4. Anything confusing in the menus or the combat screen.

The full game is $2.99, in English, French and Russian, on Windows and Android. Happy to play and comment on your game in return, just leave a link!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!

Yes, I definitely plan to keep updating Hybris. I'm currently looking at adding more content, new enemies and equipment, balancing some parts of the game, and improving things based on player feedback.

I also have a few bigger ideas for future updates that I'd rather keep as a surprise for now :)

Thanks again for playing and if there's anything you'd personally like to see added or improved, I'd love to hear it!
