Will do! The good news is that after rewinding once more and then defeating Garnet for the fifth(?) time, the fixes seem to have finally loaded the post demo state properly. Hiro Enders is finally missing and his mother cries for help! Still missing arts slot number 7 tho from the force shard obtainment alongside JP Tomes not working at all as a consumable item. But those are relatively minor details for the demo that impact the balance of the remaining two boss fights relatively little, so I would just focus on main development and toss then on the bug list to fix before release. Call it an extra helping of demo version challenge.

Hey there buddy...how's it hanging...*bleh*
In all seriousness, hey! Its been a bit. I'm glad to see development seems to be going well. I finally got around to completing the latest version of the demo, only to run into an issue with starting the post demo. Any input? It says "rewinding", and then drops me at the orange save crystal in the Banna Woodlands with the "to be continued" picture still displayed. When accessing the world map to forcibly remove it, I find that I am still in a game state without any of the new side quests. I already tried completing the Garnet fight again from this state and got the same result. (excepting I think I somehow did not get the extra skill slot up to 7. Still at 6.)
ps. Also seemingly unable to use JP Tomes
It happens. Don't sweat it! I will admit that I had been looking for the game when NextFest dropped and being disappointed not to find it, but it's far more important to take care of yourself and your creativity! The gamejam is actually a good thing as an indie dev, as it lets you get more experience and keeps you from burning out by working on just one project. Gamemaking catgirl fighto!! (I.E., just keep going at your own pace and thanks for the effort)
Jolly good my friend! As ever, I am glad you are doing well. Especially with the difficulties, I am glad you are improving each time you post now. I look forward to the quest you have prepared, especially since this is a great time to start a fresh save! After the form of a certain man who made everyone's lives just a little more marvelous, allow me to leave you with the ultimate encouragement I know.
Excelsior!
I got a good chuckle in today because of this, so thank you. The idea to create a narrative tie between the player and the world they are experiencing was just a suggestion based on my own preference for investment in the world I am exploring, the idea that acting as the player makes the hero or protagonist whose eyes I am seeing through inherit a little piece of me across time and space, so don't worry about that. I personally would be honored to be included, just make sure that guy becomes a girl at some point!
I will say that this project looks interesting. I look forward to getting to play the demo when it comes out. Regarding a steam release, I will say that if you intend to seriously produce your game as a product intended for the market, that would probably be the right move from my view as a consumer. Itch.io is a fine platform, but far from what steam can do for a game and its sales. I am the kind of guy who loves rpgmaker games especially, and would willingly shell out 10-15 dollars for an especially good project. But if this game weren't relevant to my searches for specific genres, I never would have found it.
TLDR; You have a nice project with a lot of potential, and I want to see it succeed.
In a separate note that need not be taken seriously, As a players suggestion without having played even the demo yet, maybe give the player the ability to self insert somehow. Usually games accomplish this by letting you name the protagonist, but as far as I am concerned just getting to name a self insert character who acts as a receptionist or something would be fine. NPC life all the way. Don't feel the need to of course, as that's just my personal preference, but I still like to make conversation while I am writing these things. Hope you are well, and have a nice day.
