Really fun concept!! I always thought that a roguelike style game where you or another player builds the locations and enemies you go through would be super intriguing! I think that it would be really fun to play off of upgrading the strength of enemies which would in turn give you more rewards for placing those specific ones. You did a good job on the length of the game and the only part that I was confused about at first was that you had to take one specific side of the exit to go to the next stage. I got stuck walking into the back of it at first and walked in circles around the level for 20 seconds or so lol.

The cutscene and voice acting were really top-tier and I would love to see more content carrying over those strengths. The gameplay was a little slower than I would've liked and I wish there was options for the music volume. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I not expecting a fully voice acted cutscene and I can see much potential for interesting gameplay.

You can still access the endless mode from the main menu once you complete level 5! :)

The next level button going from level 5 to the endless mode does not function and results in a softlock. Apologies in advance. Good booming to all you folks!

Thank you so much!! We're super glad to hear the effort put into polishing was worth it!

I just checked the page and it says that there's no game uploaded. Is the ZIP file for the game placed into the Uploads section when you edit the page?

I really like the witty banter from the main character. The game has a lot of personality and it was fun to see our protagonist comment on everything! I played the game a little bit too safe and saved my lighter uses, so I wish that I could've utilized the light mechanic more often. The game has interesting mechanics and I could see more complex puzzles that require you to think about the order of interactions.

Interesting spin on the theming of the jam! You did a great job at introducing the hazards and then letting the player run free for a bit. There was some issues of readability on where exactly some obstacles and attacks would be active but I could see a lot of potential for interesting gameplay segments using the spark mechanic that you implemented.

Really funky game. The writing and vibe felt like it was one upping itself every time I interacted with a new character. I only wish there was more to explore because you guys did a good job at making every new room and character super interesting at a first meeting.

The atmosphere you created with the combination of sound effects and the lighting combined was insanely good! I think the game does need to teach you a bit more in terms of the mechanics (if you hadn't read the description). It was unclear to me that you could jump until I got stuck near the beginning. Great concept and very intriguing story.

Your game says it's restricted! Please set it to public instead so we can try it out!

Much appreciated!! <3

We're glad you had so much fun with the swappable abilities and will definitely consider using what we've learned making this project in the future. As for the music, that's all royalty free from Kevin MacLeod!

Thank you for the compliments! The songs were actually all royalty free music from Kevin MacLeod!

Here's the list and when they were used in our game:

Title - Blip Stream

Level 1 - Blobby Samba

Level 2 - Tech Live

Level 3 - Bit Shift

Sandbox - Android Sock Hop

Very fun concept! The physics and controls were a bit difficult to get used to but I could see how you could create many interesting challenges with the swinging arm mechanic.

Really fun art and concept! I had lots of fun defeating my very serious mortal enemy.

I had a lot more fun than I was expecting seeing the initial layout. There was a couple issues like the toppings you can pick being off screen. I also had an issue where when I healed at low health at one point the character disappeared and the game crashed when the enemy tried to attack me. Honestly those issues did not take away from the experience and the charm that the game has. I love the aesthetic and enemy designs!
