I can’t really say anything critically, but I really enjoyed the mix of different instruments, especially the erhu, that’s something I haven’t heard much in other scores.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll probably make another track for this setting and try experimenting with making some other alien sounds and some more moving voices.

Thanks man. Yeah I’m still fairly new to composing as a whole so i did decide to keep it relatively simple in terms of adding lots of independent voices, but that’s the general feedback I’ve been getting so I’m gonna be focusing on getting better at doing that now. And yeah listening back now some of the velocity shaping could’ve been done better, but I’ll be making sure to pay more attention on my next track and im sure intuition will improve over time.

Thanks for the feedback, fair enough on the ai part but I'm not an artist and genuinely didn't think it would matter too much for a composing jam, my bad.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ve put the description on the submission page now too since I seem to have forgotten to do that

As for the synth, I made it in vital which is a synthesiser you can download for free.

I experimented with some of the stranger wavetables using harmonic stretching and automation on some different parameters until I got the sound I wanted. Definitely worth a play about its a lot of fun. Then for the second track I just took the same synth and made it slightly darker and put on legato gliding :)
