The visuals can be a little bit better, but overall a nice game feels nice

Hi, I’m the solo developer of NovaPhase, a browser space shooter currently in CrazyGames Basic Launch. I’m specifically looking for blind first-session feedback, not promotion. Please don’t read instructions beforehand. I want to know whether the Phase/Return Fire mechanic is understandable, where anything feels confusing, and whether you naturally want to keep playing after the first few minutes.

Feel free to be harsh — identifying friction is more useful to me than positive feedback.
NOVAPHASE 0.43.0 is live — cloak through the Rift, then send its fire back.
The new update gives the story a fresh cinematic presentation: a reworked opening flight, character portraits and comms scenes. Flight School is clearer, and touch steering now stays with your active finger while you tap phase or the secondary.
New here? NOVAPHASE is a free browser space shooter with 24 story missions across 8 sectors, 16 boss fights, four ships and local co-op. Its central move is Phase Cloak: pass through enemy fire, absorb it, and drop the cloak to counterattack. Keyboard, mouse, touch and gamepad are supported.
The screenshot above shows the Hive Queen encounter from the fresh gameplay gallery.

Try Flight School, then take on the campaign. Does the cloak-and-absorb mechanic click on your first flight? Which sector or boss would you like to see more of? Feedback is welcome — please include your device and control method if something feels off.

NovaPhase is now playable in your browser on itch.io.
It’s a fast-paced neo-retro horizontal space shooter built around Phase Cloaking, weapon Heat/Overclock, multiple ships, five primary weapons, per-run upgrades, bosses, and roguelite progression.
The main mechanic lets you phase through otherwise deadly hazards and engage phase-shifted enemies, so survival is about more than simply dodging bullets.
If you enjoy arcade shooters, bullet-heavy combat, build experimentation, and boss fights, I’d really appreciate you giving it a try.
