There are not a lot of good fantasy backgrounds for this site, and we do not want to use AI assets. If you are an artist who is skilled in backgrounds, please be aware that this is a volunteer project, so there is no payment, but you can use your involvement and creations for your portfolio. Hello, I’m Jaytia, and I’m looking for a pixel artist and developer who can create games either on godot or GameMaker. The game I am making will be a free game released to a public, a story—Magic-induced—and heavily fantasy combat game based on an already existing story. It’s called “The Legend of Maian” made by Lim Dall Young and I’m thinking of turning it into a pixel game. At first, I thought of doing a visual novel which I am used to, but I think engaging combat is way more fun then just reading. I had already placed out the script and the scenarios to happen, what I need is a pixel artist who can create anime-like assets, sprites, and animations. The script, music, and sound effects are all handled by me. 

The game I’m looking for is very similar to “Tales of Phantasia”. A game with small sprites that move around in the map to up-close pixel-battle. If you are willing to help out and volunteer for this project please send a friend request through Discord. You can also even

Hello everyone! It's me, Jaytia! I am currently working on a visual novel based on my webnovel series "The Branded Hero". While I do have an artist responsible for the sprites, I need someone to help with backgrounds and CGs. The artist needs to be able to draw in an anime-like style, and also someone who can design great backgrounds. It's tough to find backgrounds since most of them look nothing like what I want or are AI. So, please, anybody who is available, I would really like it if you could help me make this project grow. Synopsis: 

It’s hard for Luke to make a name for himself as an adventurer with all the competition—especially when he’s a perpetually low-ranked adventurer whose only skill is [repair]. But when Luke is abandoned by his party and uses that same [repair] skill to survive and escape the dungeon, a new world of possibilities opens up. Suddenly, his despised skill allows him not only to survive but to stand out in a crowded field!

This is a passionate fan project of an already existing story for fun and for more people to see! This is completely free but I would also ask for donations to help pay the artist who will be responsible for making the sprites and illustrations for the game. The set price for those who do want to support this project is $2--nothing lower or higher! But when the whole game is finished, it will be free for everyone to play! I want this to be a fun experience for all players!

Yes, I have, it’s not like it was suppose to be a secret or anything 😅. I’m trying to get commissions or maybe be a part of a big project. I understand not having money at the moment but that’s not a problem. If you are planning to publish this game and make profit off it, once the game starts making me we can split the money fairly. How much can be spoken about after. I have no problems working for free. More than anything I’m just trying to get my name out there and expand more portfolio.
