Place the folder on a different drive (anywhere really) and create a symlink to it in the appdata

If you have surround sound capable device, in your windows sound settings double click your playback device, go to advanced and change it to 2 channel audio. It's not a mic issue it's apparently a playback issue with godot not playing well with surround.

0.5.2-dev2 works for me wtih surround enabled while the previous version didn't. So the fix to the engine helped with my setup.

Yep, this one fixed it for me even with 8 channel audio in windows settings for the headset

Yep, turned out this was an actual issue for me. With Corsair Void Wireless changing from 8 channels 48kHz to 2 channels 48kHz resolved the issue on 0.5.1. Had to change it through windows settings, toggling surround on the headset itself did nothing (and I have it turned off all the time anyway). Also that totally explains why switching to hte monitor speakers worked before
On 0.5.2-dev2 it works with 8 channel audio.
