Thanks so much for playing! We now realize that we should have sent the player directly back to the "number 5" scenario instead of the main menu which caused more or less confusion for some. We will take that with us for other projects :)

I think the other comments already touched on the critisism i thought to give, so i'll just say that it's definitely an enjoyable experience and really funny. i love the walking animation on the player it's so great lol

I think the lack of visual feedback is troubling. It was pretty hard to know what was clickable and what wasn't and i didn't really get what to do. Love the art style tho and music was cool as well.

I think this game is pretty cool but i also think that this would have been a lot better if there wasn't a countdown but rather a button you could press to die when you wanted to. I realize that that means the countdown part of it would be lost but i think thats a slightly fundamental problem with the game loop. I think implementing a countdown in another way would have been less annoying overall for the gameplay. But with that being said it was a really cool idea and with a little work i think it has amazing potential great job!

Love the music haha.

Wow this game is an amazing entry! absolutely loved how the music syncs with the countdown of all the other things and it also really slaps! Also super cool you used gamemaker. This is one of if not my favorite one i've played so far. I think it would add some countdown-ness if there was a bigger countdown aswell or something as to make it more obvious from the start and more intense but that's just an idea not necessarily critisism or anything. Really awesome job i had a great experience playing this

(1 edit)

In the second one you have to just walk around the map a little bit and you'll find it. If you don't do the "good thing" everytime it gets locked beyond that point, meaning you have to find it in all of them. I would recommend going back since the second route is wayyy cooler. Please consider it!

I’m glad! I thought it would function as a neat callback

Thank you so much for playing it! And thank you for the kind words. This comment made my day 😭

Stanley parable was a big inspiration for the game so i'm happy to hear it thank you so much :)

Man this got me addicted for a while. Very nice execution with the skill tree and everything

This is probably the concept that fits best to the theme in the entire jam so far. Not the best game but so many of the other great games i've played haven't incorporated the "countdown" theme in the gameplay that well imo. Most of them would fit better under another theme but this one has the perfect "countdown" themed gameplay loop in my opinion. Amazing work i you have my vote for one of marks selection for the showcase video.

Man when the tutorial came up i was ready for a good experience and i got it. Really smooth and satisfying movement and the animation when the orange circles move is soo nice!

I love the juice on the death of the enemies and the art style is awesome!

I was very confused at first but when i realized the game was inside the book i was amazed. Super cool idea i love it!

The puzzle design is incredible and i especially enjoyed the vibe with the music art and everything. Awesome game and amazing work!

Really cool idea but i dont really see a downside to not just having 5 bounces each time since the button still works if the bullet bounces off of it but cool concept!

I love the cleverness of the puzzles and the music slaps

Absolutely loved the soundtrack and sound design overall insanely well made!

This is a masterclass in decision making and good luck next time :)

So glad you enjoyed it thanks for playing! :)

Super neat art style i love it :)

This comment made my day more fun thank you so much!

This is one of the best executed games in the jam imo. this was super fun challenging but not too much and super stressful in a good way. really makes you feel like you are short on time with the floaty movements. Awesome work!

As a fellow deltarune fan I approve of this message. nice work lol

Super cool concept and love the art. A little difficult to control for my taste but amazing job on the polishing!

well it's not really supposed to be hard to find you just have to click play after you destroy the world and go back, then it will be obvious haha

Love the idea of the grid and super satisfying game loop!

Well this was scary...

Loved the sound effects lol

Wow the art is insane!

Super cool you used pygame for this one that's really unique!

Really great concept and amazing atmosphere you've got going on! Sadly whenever i went out into the forest my game starting really lagging maybe because of the amount of grass or trees? idk but other than that i loved it great entry! :)

I really love the animation work! The mechanics are a little janky but cool concept overall :)

Loved this! I've seen this idea in other games too but this is the best execution i've seen so far great job!

Very nice enjoyed this a lot! Artwork is beautiful and overall the polish and game feel is so good. Whenever you kill a robot the juice is amazing. Amazingly done

I really like the idea of the game. I did personally get stuck at one point after dying where i had no torches in sight and just couldn't make it to the next campfire in time. Other than than i dig the artwork a lot. Great work :)

We ran out of time for number 3 but all others have alternative things you can do the second time around

after you destroy the world you have to go back by pressing the restart button. not by closing the game if thats what you did

Nahh i feel so scammed she never cammeee!!!! Nah but great effort. Dont even need to say it but obviously the artwork in incredible. The only thing i thought was that the movement feels a little awkward and unintuitive imo but other than that amazing work :)
