have them lay on top of the detector/downloads panel and tune the polarity/ frequency
probably only to 50% to start, but slowly get better at it? gate it behind high rep and the vaccine (gotta not drop rep, tho)
would need some kind of platform added to the top of the panel, with controls and a readout. also a cushion (they are on vacation, after all)
probably have them build the platform themselves, maybe lock the player out of the room? maybe have a different sleep cam for the duration of construction?
maybe have obstructions dropped in the middle of the signal room? (could plushies be arranged on the cushion?)
maybe once they get max skill on the panel, they start doing other stuff? (im not sure what they might do....)
also imagine: handing Kerfur-O a sponge and having them clean a room
probably limit it to indoor spaces, or just however patrol works
