itch.io

Hi! The characters section is unlocked after the character creator ends, and it is updated with new information every once in a while. You can find it by clicking the little yellow/gold < sign at the top right of the screen, found both in the pc version and in the mobile version (as seen in the screenshots below). That will unstow the right sidebar, which has three sections: the profile section, the character section and the camelot section.

As for your other comment below about F!Arthur: it was recently implemented so I am very open to feedback. Did you find it jarring/confusing at all? If so, what were the parts that you foundmost confusing or lacking proper explanation? Oh and yes, the lokely is a typo, it should have been likely.

Unfortunately there is no new content, I have been focusing on implementing the coding for F!Arthur, but very soon I will add a Yniol scene at the end of chapter 2 (since they did not have one)!

As for the downloadable version, I'll definitely see if I can do that. In the meantime, you may be able to download the game with the itch.io app

I am SO so happy to see you return to this amazing game <3 It's my chance to replay it all!

Hi, I understand your criticism. The reason why the story was written that way, aside from in-game motifs, is that I wanted to write something purposefully on the comforting, softer side. This game is very personal, and so I understand that the choices I made will not be liked by every reader. Thank you anyway for trying it out!

Hi! The game is still being worked on and will not be abandoned anytime soon, the updates are just bound to be very irregular due to my schedule irl and some chronic health issues.

Hi, the project is still active, it will be until I make an announcement of discontinuing it (if the day ever comes), however know that updates aren't regular due to it being an hobby project

No, absolutely not. You can keep picking their platonic choices with everyone else while never choosing their romantic options (which will be clearly labelled)

Hi! The downloadable version is available if you use the app for dekstop for Itch.io (as I know of). Let me know if you manage to get it.

As for the routes: in this game, you will start to get romance points with a RO only after a certain amount of platonic points (basically, you need to get to know them and want to spend time with them first before feelings may develop on either side).

Speficially, for Yniol you might get a maximum of two platonic points: one when you glance back at them before they are dismissed by the King (ch.1), and the second when you try to look for them after the banquet (ch.2). It is also true that the values might not work correctly, and if you already chose those, there may be bugs

Omg!! So glad to see you're back <3 I love the changes, and hope they can bring you happiness and fullfillment

I wish you all the best, Mansym, and will wait for as long as it takes for your lovely game<3

Aw thank you! I am actually 95% done with the update, I still have to code it and edit it a bit, but some stressful things have happened lately so I will take a bit more time to do so than anticipated. Still, I assure you I am consistently working on TKH💞

I am doing everything I can🥲 if I could release more content, I definitely would!

One of my all time favourite games of the genere. I love all the storylines and routes, and I am absolutely rabid for the way this is built, as a simulation of a MMORPG.

Delectable. I am waiting for more games from the amazing devs

I played this with a word doc opened on the chapter I am trying to finish, procrastinating on itch to check the notifications and see if any author updated something... while trying not to think about the scenes I need to write and how I am starting to dislike all that I wrote before.

You are in good company, Manon <3

Hi! I am sorry for not publishing any update here on Itch. I am about halfway done with the next update and am optimistic for a release relatively soon. I was stuck with writing for a long time until very recently, and despite my passion for the project unfortunately sometimes it's less draining to answer a couple of asks than stressing over the writing when I am in that state of mind.

I had to change some lore elements as well, and in the past months I was able to rewrite the public demo accordingly (unfortunately, it was necessary).

On Tumblr I have recently published one of the ROs official portrait, which will be present in the character description in game upon the next update. All in all, I am continuously polishing the WIP, even if very slowly (and I am sorry for that).

I am very flattered by your high regards of TKH, and I assure you I am still actively working on it. If I ever decide to abandon it, I will make a hiatus announcement, as I don't want to leave people waiting for nothing.

It is very much on purpose. King Arthur uses terms of endearment very often in his speech, regardless of the person he is talking to. It is just part of his character.

(Relatively) soon! Within a month or two at the latest

Hi❤ it's completely alright, in fact I am flattered by the mention!

Hi! I saw your other post and I am very happy you are enjoying my take on the Arthurian legends❤

The difficulty you encountered as fas as immersion goes might take root in some pre-set traits the MC has. Some of them are due to the environment while growing up (for example MC is very capable in combat because they were intensly physically trained) and some of them are just character traits that are going to be fixed (for example MC's weakness for children and animals). Because of this, if sometimes you will come across some things that might feel strange to you, that's probably because it's one of the main character's fixed traits.

At this point in time MC is also still heavily influenced by their parents' expectations to go along with the marriage as best as they can; again, this is probably why you felt like MC was being too responsive or accepting. There are some choices for someone who just wants to get it over with without too much involvement (ex: choosing to eat alone and to not ask any question to Morien), maybe you'd be more comfortable with them?

In any case, thank you for your comments, your input is appreciated!

Sure! Together with the character creator, the whole chapter is around 23k words, with an average playthrough of 20k words.

You're very much free to read something else, then.

Definitely this one! The Chosen One is basically on hiatus right now

Hi❤ I am so glad you liked the update! As for your question: I am probably going to add the option to do both in the next bugfix. Either that or it will be available in later chapter to choose to also take hormones if your MC binds and viceversa.

In any case, yes, it will be possible to do both!

It's totally understandable to have preferences and in fact if something is not within your tastes you have every right to find something else that is!

Just to provide a possible explanation, I want to say that this story is not meant to be realistic. It is meant to address some tropes I hold dear to me and to portray character in a way I personally enjoy writing. Hopefully I can provide a different kind of experience than other stories with a similar setting.

In any case, TKH has soft characters that will always be understanding and attentive to MC's comfort, so anyone who keeps reading or is interested in this game should be aware of that.

Absolutely fascinating, I'll be waiting for more❤

Hi❤ thank you for leaving this comment because I'll hopefully be able to clarify some things to you.

While the arranged marriage isn't avoidable, in this setting is very common as a practice, especially for monarchs and nobles, this game will heavily drift away from the more uncomfortable sides of it.

There won't be any expectation of a children or pressures by the court because Arthur has already named his heir. Since MC is gender selectable, it is also taken into consideration that the marriage was never for the purpose of producing an heir.

On the topic of MC, they have the freedom to have a purely platonic relationship with Arthur. Should they choose to pursue other ROs, or no one at all, Arthur will be helpful and supportive either way. Basically, the bond that MC and Arthur have is set and will always be a strong and central point in the story, but not linked to Arthur's romance route!

Thank you for the review, I'm so happy you liked the story that much❤

Yes, the story ends there and it's actually the end of the first chapter. There should be a "end of the Demo" under the orange text but it's very small and for the next chapter I'll make the ending more clear!

Actually you're quite right. Right now am leaning more towards aligning the Hero's gender with the Chosen One's than making it selectable.

I'll probably come to a decision and update the game page with the next chapter.

I'm very glad you liked the first chapter!

Yes, Rascia (the Healer) will be the only LI!

Hi! From what I understands, this type of error seems to originate from your browser cookie setting.

You can try enabling all cookies for Itch.io, even from "unvisited" or "third party" sites in your browser's cookie settings, and refresh/reload the page, and that should allow the game to function as expected.

Let me know if you're still experiencing issues after that!

Thank you for the reply!

If they are, is sound mandatory?

Hi! Haha, oh yes, MC complains a lot! I won't spoil anything, but the Journey will definitely affect that!

Unfortunately, you'll get to meet Rascia (the LI) only in chapter four - they will play a big part in MC's character developement so they have to be introduced at the right time. Though, if you want to read about them before that time you can find me on Tumblr where there are quite some scenarios that introduce the Healer and some cute or heated moments between them and MC!

Hi! That is, in fact, deliberate since MC doesn't want to spare the kids another thought one way or another. But it confused more than one person so I might add a phrase to differentiate the two to avoid any misunderstanding!

I'm so happy to hear it, darling❤

Hi❤ I'm so glad you liked it, expecially MC's personality since it's something I want to do a bit differently than other IFs. Can't wait to share more!

I'm so glad you liked MC so far❤ as of now things between them and the Mentor are not going so well, but I can assure you that MC will get a lot of hugs from Rascia (the Healer, wich is the only LI)!
