I really appreciate the feedback. I'm brand new to orchestration so advice like this will actually go a really long way. I did want to experiment more with that song in particular but I was pressed for time so I just had to get it done one way or another lol. Do you have any pieces you could recommend that I study for varying instrumentation and further developing the motif like you said?
Thank you for the feedback! Yes I used Ableton because I was short on time and am still barely learning Cubase lol but I will probably stick with Ableton since it's my primary DAW. I do agree though with the Fairy song being a little too similar to it's inspiration but i'm happy to hear you were still able to enjoy it!
Sooo good i'm impressed with how many tracks you were able to write! I read the lore while listening to each one of these and it was an incredible experience. I realy enjoyed the atmosphere in these you did a great job painting a picture. The singing in the middle of The Ocean was definitely reminiscent of The Odyssey and the Sirens. Sea Monk Encounter using a reversed track to "mirror" the player is such a dope idea. My favorite track was definiely Lady of the Lake though, you nailed the balance between beautiful and eerie and that high string line is like the cherry on top.
