itch.io

Valid question nowadays! All the included content was made without the use of AI during any point of the process, most of the assets even pre-date generative AI and the software I use does not offer AI capabilities. So it's all clean and human-made!

There's none indeed, the idea is that there are primarily made for roguelike games which often lack animations at all. It makes them simple to adjust and create variations. If you do want them to walk, I'd recommend animating the sprite's position to have the sprite hop.

Yes, this will be coming December 10th! I've remade the companion app, and it will now include an asset browser too.

The Steam and Itch.io releases will be exactly the same. If you buy here, I'll get 90% of the payment but on Steam just 70% - so if you want to best support me here's the right place. On Steam, you'll get some of the things that are convenient on that platform like regional pricing or automatic updates. However, the Itch.io App also provides automatic updates. So it's basically your personal preference, both versions will be the same and receive updates at exactly the same time!

Yo I fixed it

Hey, Myst (remake) uses some of the input icons!

Yes that's allowed, and much appreciated!

It does exist! Select the 'properties' tab, it's the second tab on the top left.

Why are you sharing these? I don't understand the purpose of sharing my game assets like this

Well done! 👏

Come up with your own presentation, this is pretty much all copied from https://kaylousberg.itch.io/kaykit-forest

Fantastic job, thanks for this!

Furniture Kit is an older package which didn't use textures yet, instead it uses multiple materials with colors. It will probably need a different approach when importing into Unreal Engine

Pretty much yeah! It allows you to pick up items from further away but it doesn't have a real use

With the float ability, you can double jump by pressing spacebar

It's on top of the house near the plaza!

I use multiple engines and select the best fitting depending on the project. When this game was made, Godot wasn't really around yet

Thanks! There's no plans to do localization, sorry.

Just added an option to set the seed!

Unfortunately not, I know that I half implemented that and it does show the seed on the highscore screen but no way to play specific seeds right now. I'll see if I can add this in an update!

Hey, thank you, your comment made me cry but in a good way. Thank you very much, I needed this

What happens if you get close? Have you tried jumping on it?

I think you tried to pick-up two items at once, which shouldn't be possible but is due to a bug. That'll break your game. Due to the game jam having voting I can't update the game for another 7 days.

The magnetic ability just pulls items towards you from a longer distance, but it's not a requirement to use or to finish the game!

Make sure you've got the flying ability that allows you to double jump, unlock it by doing other tasks!

Yeah those are just there for little interactions, they don't progress the storyline!

Are you sure? I haven't heard this issue before. It might be one in one of the three categories you choose from.

Yeah unfortunately this is an issue, you shouldn't be able to pick-up two items at once. It's in the troubleshooting section!

It seems that you can pick-up two items at the same time, don't do this as it will ruin the game run. You'll have to restart unfortunately!

A trumpet? Do you by any chance have a screenshot of that? That should not be possible at all.

Hm, you shouldn't be able to carry two items at once hah. So I'll add a check for that after the game jam, I unfortunately cannot adjust the game right now

I don't develop for Apple devices out of principle, sorry!

Thank you! While on the task screen you can choose to reveal all the tasks so they'll turn from ??? to the actual task descriptions. It's done so people can choose to either explore and solve everything themselves, or get a tiny bit of help!

There's no real gameplay except for exploring a little building. The building is super nicely modeled though!

Tried playing the game in two browsers but unfortunately nothing but a blue screen shows up, might be broken?

Hm, couldn't figure out this one. I felt like the items, even when dragged onto spots did nothing? I might be a lil' too dumb for this though 😭

I have to applaud making a Nintendo DS game during the jam! It feels a little barebones though, it goes all over the place and most minigames are placeholders and those that are more complete don't really feel very fun to play. Again, I have to admire creating a console game though!

Absolutely adore the art style of this, wonderful job!

Thanks for letting me know, this has been fixed now! 💜
