Ohhhh! I didn't realize you could buy more units between battles.

I mean... it's not fun. I get the point but it's not fun.

Why does everything have to be a nodebuster? :( Can't you just let me run the main loop until I feel like it's plateau'd and I should go get upgrades?

Very first level, holding W to return doesn't work. Time doesn't seem to be counting down either.

I can't scroll either the list of filters or the list of items.

Less bad! Haha. I guess scrolling is just a preference thing and some people are fine with it and some people (like me) just don't like it. Thanks for listening to feedback though!

It would probably help also to start off with one lane, and then add a second lane once the player gets the basics.

The only upgrades I'm aware of are the ones at the bottom of the screen -- a shield, water?, an arrow, etc They turn orange at some point if I click on them. No idea what that does.

I can deploy things?

1. I did not know what to do. It looked like I could buy upgrades like a typical incremental but nothing seemed to do anything useful.

2. I reckon as that line moves back and forth, it's closer to whoever is losing. I saw that the blue guy started taking damage (or at least, explosions were happening). It wasn't clear what I could do about it though.

3. Nope. Everything.

---

I am trying again now and I see that if I click an "upgrade" the blue outline goes away and coins go down. So, that seems to do something. Not sure what though.

I would be fine with tooltips over the buttons as a start, just to be like "this is X and it costs Y".

None of the upgrade buttons seem to do anything. There's no clear price for upgrades. There's a lot of stuff on the screen and no clear indication of what it is.  I don't know why there are two lanes of the same thing. Overall, it feels like it's not finished.

Am I the blue one or the orange one?

At any rate, like I said, it's clear that a lot of work was put into it, so, good job!

On the one hand another nodebuster. On the other hand, it's got nice style and storytelling. Keep it going, I'd be interested to see more!

I mean honestly it's a whole genre now.

I originally discovered The Perfect Tower on Kongregate (https://www.kongregate.com/en/games/xmmmx99/the-perfect-tower) but I guess the official page is https://www.fs-studios.com/games/perfecttower/.

Haha no worries, to be fair a lot of other games have copied it so you're part of a grand tradition.

The teeny tiny area for upgrades is crazy. I think you just gotta make the whole game taller.

Otherwise, you put a lot of work into cloning The Perfect Tower but changing all the details. Good job I guess haha

Much slower Progress Knight! Not a bad idea, people always wished that game lasted longer :D

What's the deal with Body? I did Simple Conditioning but never saw Body go up. Granted I am still very early in the game but it seems like a bug.

EDIT: oh you know what, I probably started it part way through and so 39 years hadn't elapsed on conditioning even though my character was 39 years old. Cheers.

EDIT EDIT: well this time I did only Simple Conditioning for a whole life. I didn't get the upgrade until I hit like 45 years even though it said I should get it several years earlier. I guess Physical Condition affects it? It's not clear why that happens. I know there is meant to be some mystery but this still looks wrong, not mysterious.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: oh right, the character starts at 16 years old -_- Okay I'll stop updating this comment.

Good game!

I was not prepared for the ice cream truck to just plow into the crowd of chicks! lol

This is so cute! Really wish there was an upgrade to make the chicks walk faster though.

This is a great start! I would love to see more of the world and more complexity. Thanks!

You gotta dig tunnels between the buildings in the base for them to work. This is also how you can deactivate a building if e.g. you want to stop making pickaxes; just close the tunnel.

<3

Nice game! I do _really_ wish there was an idle version. Just let the guys mine forever, and I can pop into the base/upgrades area at any time to buy the upgrades. That would be sweeeet, and seems like a conceptually small leap from the current implementation.

Yeah this is like a cool proof of concept for a new mechanic (or at least one I haven't seen).

The overlaid universes concept is great! I could see that being a great mechanic to use in a lot of games going forward.

I like the feel but I'm disappointed it doesn't really expand more. In Steam is the city going to reach the water? Will we do something with the boats?

I like it except for the bag system. It's very annoying dragging resources around and having to close and reopen the bag.

Once I have a few rows filled in the upgrade buttons scroll down off the page and I can't get to them. Nice little game though!

Thanks!

I like it! It should have a "buy all" button for the upgrades though. Thanks!

Looks good, thanks!

Kinda sad that I'll never be able to destroy the whole asteroid :(

Interesting game idea though!

Sorry for the bad bug report! I am a dev and should have known better haha.

I expected LMB to do the same thing as F. In game play the LMB does not seem to do anything at all. I can navigate the menus successfully.

Thanks! I did figure it out once I got a bio generator by chance, and that kind of cleared up the general concept of "X kinds of things go together".

I would expect a bit of a bop. The game feels like a job so you want the music to help you feel like you're being productive instead of bored at work.

Well again, my perspective of incrementals is that you shouldn't be able to really "lose", or if you can then at least you shouldn't go backwards in progress. However you want to do that is up to you.

By the way, I do like this variation on pachinko. And nice music!

It would be more meditative if we could just hover instead of clicking haha

LMB doesn't seem to work.

Could use some tunes.
