Thanks, I did take a bit of inspiration from those (especially the house upgrading), although their "walker system" is light years more advanced than this is lol. But one feature that I did cut from the game was directly inspired by Zeus - I did have an idea that there would be inter-town competitions with other mayors, like tests of friendship or beauty or fun challenges. On the other hand, I always wanted something where the people were not all the same in their wants. I was definitely more inspired by the Sims games in that respect, and in the decoration aspect. Anyways, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! :)

Thank you so much. The festival almost got completely cut, actually - I had one day to go and I'd done the music for it, but no art at all. Plus a bunch of other stuff to do and test on my list, so I wouldn't get all the mechanics done for it. But I figured if at least a few buildings could have festival decorations that'd be fine. I think it was a good move to keep it in the end; you're right, it definitely adds to the cosy vibe.

Nice town! :)

From my stepdaughter: I loved it so much! At first, I wasn't good at it but then I got great at it. My final score was 196 and that was on my second time!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I hope I get a chance one day to do game dev more seriously.

(1 edit)

I get a "Unsupported device pixel ratio 1.25" message in my browser console and an error about BrowserFS, even when emulating a phone. Sound appears to play though.

My own phone isn't great to be fair, but I still tried it on my phone's Chrome and it did the same; when I tapped it eventually the screen went silver instead and the music hung. Log showed some sort of font-related error.

What device are you using that this build is working correctly on? Would love to test properly.

From my stepdaughter: We got hit by doors so many times when they opened, it made me laugh!

When we figured out how to play it wasn't actually too hard for me. Cool interpretation of the theme!

From my stepdaughter: For me it was hard! But I really liked the beat. Good job!

From my stepdaughter: The honeycomb one was really hard & we didn't understand it. I love how the sandwiches make mountains!

From me: The bouncy sheep are adorable and some of the dreamy visual effects are really neat, too. Well done!

From my stepdaughter: Some of the orders said sprinkles but I couldn't find the sprinkles option. Really fun game - I like how you can create multiple fro-yos.
