I like the game! Very interesting combination, feels like a good puzzle. It would be nice to have some step by step predictions of where a unit would move though, because some of them move very unpredictably, making it more of trial and error game, rather than a unique puzzle. Also I think the budget was a bit too generous, since it's easy to complete levels without using half of the troops. The art and audio are really nice! One of my favorites so far! Good job!

Very interesting idea with level change, I like it! Maybe you can make it easier if the timer runs out, but you'll miss out on the bananas that were there previously. I get the idea with monkeying around, but from the gameplay perspective, I think beating an easy version of a level you struggle with might give you some muscle memory to beat the harder version of it without too much frustration, making it a cool way to encourage a replay for the highscore in bananas. Good job!

I like the idea! Very relaxing compared to most other ideas on this gamejam! I would like to be able to count several birds at the same time, if they are together in the view. Good job!

I like the idea, but it still feels a bit too simple. It all depends on the number before last, maybe something, that could move the position of 0, or somehow affect the condition, when you have to press the button would make it more interesting. The art is cute and audio work is really nice. Good job!

Very cool idea! Maybe putting several flights in one day would make the idea of a timer more interesting. I liked it, good job!

I see, I think if we made the attacks more telegraphed this would be less of an issue. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks! The friendly fire really brought the ideas together :)

Yes! That was the idea that we really enjoyed playing with. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, they are very cool. Too bad we didn't have time to implement some sort of a spider boss :(

Yes, totally agree that we should've added more of that, but because of the potential amount of enemies and players that would take time to make it look not too overwhelming (especially the screenshake). Thanks for the feedback!

Hah, that's good to hear! Maybe making attacks more telegraph will prevent some of the unwanted deaths. Thanks for the feedback!

Nice! We're glad you liked our game! Hopefully we will find strength and time to further develop the game after the gamejam to make it even better :)

The idea of every enemy having their own planet is cool, but I think they lack some individuality for me to remember. I think I would be more likely remember their names if when I die I get to know the name of the species that got me. + from the gameplay point it would be nice to have some difference between them, be it move speed, or different behavior. Maybe if you push the idea a bit further it would be a very solid game. Good job!

That's a rather unique idea! Maybe a bit of polish with more complexity and visual feedback and it would be a fun game to relax to! If I were to suggest something, is making attack that can miss. I'm not sure how the review logic works, but maybe it would be a cool thing to add in the end of the fight.

Also I'm not sure what caused it, but for some reason I couldn't change attacks from 1 to 4. They were permanently "wait".

Good job!

Everything that you've mentioned was planned in the beginning, but we had to rush the project. We plan to add all of that after the gamejam though. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, totally agree that we should add more variety, but we had to cut a lot of ideas unfortunately. We had planned more enemies and more playable characters that you can choose from that we hopefully add after the game jam. And we realized a bit too late, that it becomes hard to see the character that you play whenever there are 8+ of you already doing something :) Thanks for the feedback!

I liked it very much! This feel so big compared to our game, but that just tells me that there is room for improvement. All the mechanics are really cool and work together well. I think the only one that feels weird is the gun, because it doesn't interact with physics of the hourglass, compared to everything else, but this doesn't mean that it's bad. Also sometimes I think the invisible walls were set up a bit too close to the playing area. Had a lot of fun playing the game, good job!

The plot is funny, but that's all that I liked about the game. The camera was placed in such a way, that you can't even see the platforms you're jumping on, for example the backtrack from the blue button, you can't even see where the first platform is. The movement feels weird, first the entire evil lair is covered in baby oil, making it almost impossible to correct yourself when jumping on the tight platforms, second there is no momentum, you just switch the direction of all of your speed and fly back into the laser while trying to correct your trajectory. There are no indicators of what you have to expect ahead, making it either a guessing game, or a frustrating walk from the checkpoint. It is fun to die to a hard platformer section, but it isn't fun to die because of a laser wall you saw last second and died trying to avoid it.

I really like the idea and I'm all for the hard platformers, but in order to have fun you gotta make it fair.

So far this is the best game I've played on this gamejam! I liked everything! I think it would be cool to expand on the idea of different planet/ different resources to make the game even more complex, make unique ways of transporting some of them, etc. I really hope you will continue developing the idea :)

The idea is cool and the timer to please gods is unique! Felt on edge playing the game and that crazy vibe fits well.

However this feels like a fewer dream. The music was really driving me insane, maybe try something that doesn't ramp up randomly, but as the deadline is getting closer, dynamic music should fit perfectly. It's easy to fail the game later, if you don't give all the sacrifice in your previous era, making loses sometimes frustrating and unexpected. The artstyle is all over the place and makes it look like an add for a mobile game. Controls feel a bit wonky and batch select would be a welcome addition.

Sorry for being so critical of the game! I see good potential, but if I just say "it's perfect" my comment wouldn't be helpful at all, right? Keep making unique games, you got this!

Very fun game! The idea is solid, the upgrade system is very cool and fitting, the artstyle is cool and charming, audio is pleasant. The base is solid and I see that many cool features can be added on top, for example something like moving plants to another spot to save them from an incoming flood would spice the game up without simply increasing enemies' health.

However I think the game needs some balancing. It doesn't really scale all that well later in the game, and when by the wave 19 I had about half an hour time left, I didn't feel like playing further. Maybe more things, that you have to keep track of will make the late game more interesting.

But I liked playing it, so good job!

Honestly, when I saw the gamejam idea, a visual novel didn't even cross my mind, but hey, you made it work! The story has some good message behind it and even multiple endings. (although I think it would be hilarious if you could go out with Jeremiah for the ball xD)

Good job!

Amazing game! At first I was confused, but after reading the controls I started laughing! It is very unique, but some more complexity wouldn't hurt. A clock flip to swap health with ammo would fit the idea really well and maybe more kinds of snakes with different approach would make the fun last longer. Great job!

Thanks! I think it's the first time we made something not too complex to understand but fun to play. We wanted to add more but it's a bit too much for such a short game jam. Who knows maybe we can make it into some sort of a roguelike with different characters to choose from and upgrades to each one of them. For now it's a proof of concept and we're happy, that you had fun!

Honestly, a neat idea with a simple gameplay, I like it! Maybe some more complex mechanics would make this game very funny and unique. Something like a wet floor you need to jump over or a box you need to push.

However, the game needs some love in my opinion. The difficulty is too easy, the upgrades are meaningless, just buy everything as long as you have the money, which you'll have plenty of. By level 20 I had about a 1000$. I'd love to see some ending with an optional endless mode to wrap the story somehow. Also my game broke on level 40, giving me an empty screen :c

Also there is a bug, where if you go straight to the exit in the beginning, you'll get a soft-lock.

Overall, the idea is solid, just needs a bit more of refinement! You got this!

Wait, there is an easy mode?
