Thank you Verdant, it's my first time messing with it haha but it's super fun and intuitive!

oooo that's not a bad idea! I'll give it a shot sometime, thanks for listening :D

thank you so much!

thank you goat 🛐

WOOOAHH OH MY GOSHH THIS IS SO GOOD! I don't know how you do it but every song you've made always makes me tap my toes and move my body! IMMACULATE WORK! 10/10

It's a vocal synth haha but thank you so much!!

BRO the groove on this is SOO NASTY take all my stars please you win 😭😭😭

Words can't begin to describe how much I enjoyed listening to this! The composition is AMAZING and the switch between the songs felt so refreshing! My one and only complaint is the mixing, particularly on the drums. In my opinion, it would elevate the groove so much more if the kick popped out more by compressing it and side chaining the instruments to it. Regardless, I'm still giving this a high rating because of how enjoyable it is!

The bassline could use a bit more syncopation along with the use of octaves and fifths to get a bouncier feel but all in all this song is pretty nice!

I wouldn't call this groovy but this put a smile on my face haha. It's so 'goopy' it feels like a slow morning routine

I can see right through your disguise Toby Fox 🕵️

As a goat enthusiast, I can confirm this is unmistakeably groovy like the goat.

This could use a bit of variation in terms of harmony but this is good!

ASTROOOOOO THIS IS INSANE!!! I'm a sucker for hyper-ish songs so I might be biased but I can say for sure that you NAILED the feel! 'man what a chore' is my favorite!

I like it! It's got a nice swing feel to it! 💫

Oh my god this is AMAZING! I caught myself making a stank face listening to this. It's so minimal yet still SO groovy. That bassline is top-notch! Well done!

thank you astro 🛐

I'm really sorry to hear that! I'm aware of this issue and I'm still not exactly sure why it happens. I've tested the game myself on 2 different desktops and 2 different laptops. The game works perfectly fine on both desktops (one was a weaker machine) but the game slowed down to 0.5 speed on both the laptops and maintains that speed consistently for some reason. I'm certain it doesn't have anything to do with the enemies since I've made sure there are only about 4-6 instances present at a time throughout the whole game since they only spawn close by (they despawn during boss fights as well)! The palette switching system is quite simple too, there's only 3 layer effects that function as color replacements and only 1 palette can be rendered at a time! My guess for the slow-down issue is that the game is using the laptops' integrated graphics instead of the dedicated gpu but if that's the case then I unfortunately have no control over fixing it anytime soon since Gdevelop doesn't give you a whole lot of options on how your game is rendered... I'll try to forward this issue to the gdevelop forums and see if I can get any help! Thank you for taking the time to write this comment and for playing the game!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you! I would've absolutely added way more clarity if I hadn't run out of time, especially for the regular enemies! The last boss can definitely take a beating hahah 😅 but it's a relatively short fight if you use the kamikaze robot to blow it up! Thank you so much for playing and commenting!

Haha thank you so much! The doors are a direct reference from metroid and Gato Roboto. I thought it'd be pretty fitting for this jam!

Thank you! I had initially planned to add a lot more props, animations and tiles for better readability but I was quickly running out of time and had to make do with only a couple of assets 😭 But I'm glad to hear that you still liked the 1 bit aesthetic! Thank you for playing!

Thank you so much! I hadn't even considered the possibility of using the trampoline to block the boss during the down slam attack 😅 though I really appreciate the feedback!

I'm really happy to hear that this inspired you! I love Azali's music, he's a really big part of how I learned unconventional harmony on the piano! As a matter of fact, the first chord of Reminiscing was taken from an Azali song 😅

To be honest with you, I didn't think I would win. There's so many great songs here that I don't even feel worthy of being 1st place. Regardless, I appreciate you and everyone else who liked my silly music, I really do 😭🫶

I appreciate it! 🫶

Thanks for the feedback! Could you specify which song and timestamps where the main melody gets too loud?

I can definitely hear some resemblence in the songs you shared, very beautiful music!

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you think so! and yes you did get the instruments right :>

Thank you, I'm really flattered to hear that 😅 I'm glad you're enjoying them!

I appreciate the kind words but with all the great music in this jam, the odds of that are quite slim 😭

Feels like the background theme to some kind of alleyway interaction! I like it!

I love the way the strings swell in and out, feels like ocean tides at a beach at midnight! 🌊

meow (meow)

This is so brilliant! I especially loved how smooth the transitions are, Bravo!

Hmm I noticed that other people are already pointing out that this may be AI generated but I still wanted to give it a chance to hear for myself because I've seen people use AI generated images solely for thumbnails and nothing else. But after listening, I find it hard to believe that it's human-made, especially since you claim that it was made in Audacity. There's a couple inconsistencies in the mix that gen AI algorithms tend to mess up too, for example the timbre of the kalimba sounds like it changes the moment the accordion comes in. I'm 90% sure the song is AI generated but I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong.

All 3 are masterfully composed! My personal favorite is Your Buddy, Homie, Pal. I really really like the bounciness of it. I wouldn't change a single thing on any of these. Easily a 15/15!

I was playing this in the background and got startled when i suddenly heard a tts voice saying "hello brainless guy :333"

WHUH? GUH??? WHO?? WHAT!? 😭

No but seriously, I loved this project, especially part 2! I wouldn't be surprised if it gets used in some sort of café-themed game someday!
