So much style oozes from this. You guys are a studio worth following.

Keep it up, great job!

Nice job! I think the concept is pretty smart!

Maybe for the next jams, make a web version, you’ll get much more reviews and plays (sadly people don’t download games anymore!)

Haha you mischievous level designer! When you think you’re done, and bam, the end was on the right! Love it!

Great job! (haven’t finished yet but I’ll try to come back to it later!)

Congratulations on finishing your first game!

If you want to continue working on it, maybe make it remove a potion so that you can’t keep doing exactly the same route each time!

Good luck on the rest of your gamedev journey!

Very cool! I tried without playing the tutorial and didn’t get anything so I had to go back to understand the game^^ Once I’d done it, it was pretty good! Great job!

Maybe a feedback on the tutorial : it’s a bit too long! Maybe only the first three parts are necessary. Then it’s understood through the levels, imo. Or maybe work the tutorial into the game? I dunno.

The art is very nice :D

Haha what a cool braintwister of a game! Replacing the numbers with pictures is smart! It is quite a challenge!

Very well done. And as others have noted, the art is amazing :)

Thanks a lot for the feedback and playing the game!

Maybe keeping track of who was with who before

Oh nice! I did not think about that! It’s random here. But it makes me want to expand the game now (maybe in a full release?^^), it’s a very good idea!

Thanks a lot! Yeah, it was planned but I scrapped it to be able to finish within the deadline!

Good job for your first game! Congratulations :D

I see other people have discovered the glitch with the balloons - keep it, it’s fun!

I think it would benefit with a bit more info on what each command does. For now it seems (to me and I might not be good at it) that you just need to select things randomly and hope for the best^^

Anyways, I still had fun trying it. And the art is great!

The concept is great! And the art is perfect. Well done!

The count is so cute!

I was confused on how to get blood until I fully read the description^^

Good job!

Love the VHS filters - they work very well with your artstyle!

On Chrome I thought the shooting was broken because I couldn’t see the shots going off. Works in firefox though?

Fun stuff overall!

A bit confusing^^ Maybe it would be better if you only lose abilities when you complete a level?

Can you really finish a level without walking right or left??^^

But good job nonetheless!

Really cool! Seems a bit overwhelming at first but if you know the genre it clicks fast.

Are you gonna continue working on it post-jam?

Nicely done! I’m not very good at it, but I need to spend more time on it.

This could easily be expanded into a full game.

Thanks for playing! That features come from Spy Party :D

Amazing work on the audio XD Makes me want to record audio for my games from now on!

My only nitpick would be with the “transparent” windows. I didn’t get it at first that it was to show incoming dangers and that you could pass through it. Maybe it would have been better with some other visual? Maybe an empty window with a warning sign? I dunno, it’s a nitpick, you eventually get it^^ Also I didn’t realise at first that some people where helping too!

But very enjoyable overall. Also, I think it’s a clever use of the theme^^

Great job! The voices are very funny :D

Simple but fun!

So cool! Well done!

Puzzles are smartly made and the art is great!

Great art ! A fun little platformer, very well made ! The checkpoint gimmick is smart!

Incredible level of polish. Well done!

Not sure where it is best to post this, but if anyone ever has this bug trying to reproduce the map loading from ‘topdown.lua’

attempt to index upvalue 'map' (a nil value)

It’s because on newer versions of Tiled you need to explicitly embed the tileset before exporting your map to lua 😅 I thought I was going crazy because of this, I’ve been debugging this for a full day before finding this.

Hello! Thanks for trying the game!

The game only works on desktop, not mobile.

What web browser do you use?

Here’s the steps to play the game normally :

  • unzip the downloaded file
  • click on death1000.html - it should open your web browser

I just tried it on the latest firefox, chrome and edge - it seems to work for me.

Feel free to contact again if it still doesn’t work :)

Thanks!!
