Hey everyone! I just published Pocket Dial the Future on itch.io and I'd love to share it with you.

**What is it?**

Pocket Dial the Future is a browser-based idle/clicker game where you tap a phone to earn cash and reinvest it into the entire history of telephony. You start with a wooden phone and a dream, and you end up running a neural-implant empire. Every tap counts, and every era unlocks new machines, upgrades, and absurd headlines.

**Key features:**

- 12 phone models to unlock, from the wooden wall phone (1876) to the neural implant of the future

- Real historical progression: crank, rotary, corded, cordless, brick mobile, candybar, flip, smartphone, 5G, foldable...

- 27 upgrades and 10 passive technologies (R&D lab) that permanently boost your production

- 10 achievements, rotating missions, golden calls, combo chains, and random events that can help or hurt you

- Prestige system ("New Generation") with permanent multipliers

- Satirical rival leaderboard with parody brands (Frutalia, Samsuangt, Gúguel, Motrola...) that change each era

- Offline earnings, three save slots, and a full pixel-art presentation

- Bilingual: English and Spanish, switchable at any time

**How to play:**

Click or tap the phone to earn money. Buy your first wooden phone, then keep reinvesting. Chain taps for a combo that triggers auto-dial, catch golden calls, and complete missions for bonus rewards. Everything runs in the browser — no download, no install.

**A bit of context:**

I've always loved incremental games, but most of them are about cookies, paperclips, or generic factories. I wanted to make one about something real — the actual history of the telephone — and wrap it in pixel art and dry humor. Every phone model in the game is based on a real device, and all photos come from Wikimedia Commons with proper attribution in the Credits tab. The whole thing runs in a single HTML file, no backend.

It's a solo project and it's my first time publishing an idle game, so feedback on balance, pacing, and the feel of progression would be incredibly helpful. If you get stuck in an era or something feels too slow, tell me — I'd rather fix it than leave it.

Thanks for reading and for giving it a shot. Long live the dial tone.
