Played the demo, got to singularity 4. I had a lot of fun, but I think I definitely wasn't in the intended player demographic as my main focus was to make every region 100% in all areas, often not even building a data centre in a region... which lead to my annoyance at the populace when they kept destroying my housing and infrastructure meant for humans. Like come on, I build you guys geothermal, housing, infrastructure, and fix your drought while always choosing the ethical NPC options, but it always felt like I was "wrong".
And I say this as someone who, IRL, is against datacenters and gen AI, I don't want there necessarily to be a "good guy" path of what the world could have been, even if AI has its uses, but the world felt... like it was going down one path no matter what I did with little reactivity. It was made for a jam, and it wasn't the purpose of this game, so this complaint is a purely personal one... and an encouragement to optimise and drain the shit out of the world in your playthroughs ;)
8.5/10, great game, but not for me
