That is so kind, you just put a big smile on my face :) My name is Lola Maestre.
So excited for the final version!

This sounds great!

I have gone back and forth on whether there should be a chance of the party becoming Deprived due to unexpected spoilage (does it create tension, or rather feels punishing?).  Your solution feels fitting to both the rules and spirit of the game.

The way you describe refreshing Rations solves the struggle I had making these activities streamlined ánd doable. This irons out the wrinkles I had in my head.
Another thing I really like is including the possibility of relieving certain Burdens during hanging out. Great idea.

Thank you for taking an interest!

Sure! I’m still adjusting and shaving, but this is where I’m at right now. Thoughts are welcome!
I’m interested to hear how you go about eating and sleeping.

Provisions
One character carries the bag of provisions (= water and food), d6 usage. The bag takes up 1 slot.

A provisions check is made during camping: the character carrying the bag of provisions rolls a d6.

On a 2-6 the party gets to eat and drink. On a 1 the provisions are spoiled. The bag is emptied and the characters are Deprived.
The bag can be refilled by foraging and fishing (and story elements).

Foraging
Spend a watch to forage. One character rolls against LCK.*
All characters can spend LCK points to add -1 to the roll per point.
On success the bag of provisions is refilled.

Fishing: coastal areas and areas with water
Spend a watch fishing. One character rolls against DEX.*
If characters have any items useful for fishing, add -1 to the roll per item.
On success the bag of provisions is refilled.

* Situational modifiers could be applied to the roll (island type, environment, weather etc). So picking a good spot should improve chance of success.

Camping
Camping takes 2 watches per day and allows for eating, drinking, conversation and sleep:
- Make provisions check
- Share a thought or memory, discuss ideas
- Restore all HP (if not deprived)

Option: add a check to see if anything happens during sleep.

At sea
Make a provisions check once per leg. Characters manage to take naps across the day.

Fishing is possible between legs. In that case remove one knot die when rolling knots for next leg.

Just a note that I’m having a blast! The game has a solid turn structure, which I very much appreciate as a solo player. Only thing I’m messing with a bit is creating some rules on eating and sleeping without adding much complexity.

Love the vibe of the game and how easy it is to pick up and play. It is so simple to create seas, islands, ports, caves and buildings. The nodes maps work so well to keep focus on what matters.
On days where I do not have enough head space to play, I colour the maps.

I’m not able to go on any overnight trips this summer, and I won’t say this game is a substitute, but the vibe and adventures created by the combination of oversea and land travel absolutely add to my feeling of summer.

Good luck finishing up David and Dan!

Awesome, thanks! Email sent :)

Hi Emiel, I emailed you last month, but it might have gotten lost so I’ll try it through here: I have bought the physical books of Electrum Archive 1 and 2. It stated pdf included, but the store does not respond to my mail requesting the pdfs. Could you help me out? I can provide proof of purchase.

This looks great, so many tables! I especially appreciate the thought that has gone into the solo tools.
Awesome new cover art as well. (Only sad to see the octopus art did not make the cut, loved that piece.)

Will try to get in a test run this weekend. Thanks for updating!

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply!

Hi David, I was wondering whether this will get updated with the latest pre release pdf? I imagine a lot has happened since the end of November! :)

This zine is my favourite of VoV. It is such a great book for solo world building, I can easily create something without getting stuck in prep.

I actually really like the zine format, but will most likely also get the 2e print version. Including pets alone tends to win me over :)

I hope you keep creating content for LoE, great stuff. I can imagine all sorts of adventures sprouting from visiting this location.

This is such a great idea for an adversary, thank you for sharing!

Thank you for these!

I love these! Both the artwork and creativity of the beasts themselves. Also highly appreciate that you added a .txt file for easy adaptation to my games. Thank you!

Thank you!

This is great! I will 'mouse-fy' it a bit to use with Mausritter :)

This is great for a solo RPG newbie like me, thank you for sharing!
