I feel as though graphically and design, this is a huge improvement. Although, it would be very nice to have a setting that bring back old controls, and make the tutorial free roam. How the tutorial forces you to do everything at the required pace instead of your own, which is a huge slap to the face and huge time waster for all the veterans. I do think that the coordinate towers make the game feel as though you have way too many chores, with how much maintenance they need. Especially in the earlier parts of the game. I do get that as a player it would feel like you actually get rewarded with upgrades to make the game easier, but for new players it could be too overwhelming so I feel as though they need a rework. But besides those points I am very happy to see where the game is going.
