Hi,
I’m working on a game that mixes shoot ’em up action with rhythm‑game elements. I’m trying to create fresh gameplay by combining classic mechanics, and I’d really love some outside feedback!
What defines the project now:- 👾 A tribute to arcade shoot ’em ups
- 🎹 Rhythm‑game vibes without being too difficult
- ✏️ A retro‑futuristic, hand‑drawn world made with love
- 🏴☠️ Explosive, creative gameplay
- 🪴 An ecological fable

The game may look finished, but I’ve only developed one chapter out of 4 or 5. I also recently changed the core gameplay, so it definitely still needs some balancing and adjustments. Over the past few months, I’ve completely overhauled the game’s core gameplay to make it more varied and more fun. It’s a bit deeper now, but the goal is to give players more options and more freedom, with enough different mechanics to keep things interesting in the long run.
The main new feature is a Finisher moves. The old “special attack every 8 beats” has been removed and replaced with a finisher mechanic. Each time you defeat an enemy, you’re prompted to press Y to absorb their energy. This is synced to beats 4 and 8—keeping the idea of the old special attack, but making it feel more fun and more consistent with the game’s universe.
Thanks for checking out my game, and good luck with yours!
