I’ve been a huge fan of both of you on twitter for a while now. Got drawn in by your doll photography, of all things, so it truly delighted me to see you both come together with such a lush, multimedia piece. Really loved pretty much everything about this, I might try to come back later and leave another comment talking about more specific bits, but I just had to let you guys know I loved it and really hope you consider making more VNs in the future.

Truly special visual presentation. I’m going to replay it just to take notes on this. Beautiful, so clearly filled with love for the medium of film. I loved the options menu as well. If I can drop one small criticism, I think the lofty prose gets lost in itself sometimes. Maybe even undermines the story’s pacing a little, given how visually stimulating it already is. But I still can’t wait to see these girls again.

One of the only times I’ve ever seen Reddit namedropped where it filled me with mirth.

About halfway through, I said out loud, “I hope the protagonist crashes out and destroys the cat because its sycophancy hasn’t taught her proper emotional regulation” and it felt SO good when that was exactly what happened.

The intersection of racial and trans discrimination, the gradual escalation of the psychologist crossing boundaries, the inability to lie (completely subverted my expectation as a VN fan btw, i reloaded a save there after picking “lie”, fully expecting “tell the truth” to become an option, and the way I felt my gut sink when I realized it wasn’t was so awesome), and last but not least, the fucking seattle area code on the psychologist’s phone number. I screamed out loud. Also obsessed with the title and its reasons for being off. Such a well considered nuance.

Sorry, the full game will cost money! I've poured a lot of my own time and finances into this project!

I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I'm aiming to get it out at the start of April!! Thank you so much for playing! <3

That’ll be for the full game!

Thank you so much for your comments and your detailed bug reports! The highlighted words bug was indeed an issue and it got fixed in the latest update, so please give the game an update if you haven't already! :D

The skip issue can be fixed by hitting tab when you wish to stop skipping!

Here's my hint for Guinevere: five chickens!

(Sorry if you got a ghost notification, I accidentally commented on the other phone template you have!! Also I've apparently commented before, so apologies for asking for your help once again LOL)

I was wondering, I really want to have text conversations with multiple characters, which I *can* do with the names, but for the sender (whoever's chatting on the left), their icons ALL change to whoever the most recent character chatting is. Is there a way to have multiple people in a chat while maintaining everyone's icons as separate from each other?

This game is so special!!!! I've been dying to learn more about the malviolence world, and this did not disappoint! This team is seriously constantly pushing the envelope on making a VN experience feel full and immersive, the visuals went above and beyond, and the writing was haunting. I really enjoyed the gameplay loop of checking Deidre's different external and internal thoughts between logs. The camera movements throughout the game were so lively and impressively directed. My heart genuinely sank at multiple different points, despite ultimately knowing what the outcome was going to be. I really hope y'all make more games in this universe because there's still so much I want to know! Fantastic work!

Commenting to let any Mac users getting permission errors opening this game, here was my workaround: Download the itch.io app, log in with your account, and install Royal Order through there! Now I have no problem launching it!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!!

Thank you so, so much for the easy to implement phone UI! It's so clean and easy! I was wondering if there's a way to customize the little round image icon of the replying person in a text convo based on which character is replying? Like, giving replying characters unique icons, basically. If there is I'm totally blanking on it. Thank you!

You are literally my hero!!!!!!!!!!!! These are great!

I really loved everything about this game. The horror, the visuals, the way the mystery unfurls as you play more and more. Huge kudos to the team!

Thank you so much for the reply, i’ll try that!

Hi! I'm so sorry for the trouble, I'm getting issues launching this game on my Mac. Computer says the file is damaged and can't be opened. :(

That'd be great since Itch is my preferred platform! Thank you!

Hello! The game looks beautiful. Any hopes for a Mac version?

This is one of those games that I can't believe I haven't seen people gush about all over the place because it really does everything it sets out to do extremely well. The visuals are clean and beautiful, the writing is wonderful (I've spotted a few minor typos here and there, but for the most part the script seems well-combed over and the actual writing itself is wonderful and regal without being overly mired in Monarchy Jargon), the characters are compelling, the romance slowburn is INCREDIBLY satisfying, the stat raising mechanics are perhaps the most fun I've ever encountered in a visual novel... This team just really knocked it out of the park! If I had to say something negative, I guess it'd be that a game of this caliber ought to have an original soundtrack rather than stock music. But really, I can't speak highly enough of it. I haven't even finished the game yet, but I'm like maybe 3/4ths of the way through an Aurelius route (assuming I don't die LMAO, I've been abusing save states on easy mode) and I've been 100% sucked in the entire time. Thank you for this wonderful game experience!

Saw this game through Vinny Vinesauce, was horrified and fascinated. Really interesting and well written game.
