I also ended up frankensteining my own music mod by dropping in my favorite alt tracks from flash Isaac and Antibirth. My favorite add-ons the Steam version (besides item descriptions) are definitely the Soundtrack Menu/Music Callback mods, which are probably out of scope here, but a real killer feature imo :D
Great mod! I was having trouble figuring out how to follow the instructions when using Vita3k, so I ended up just overwriting the normal game files with the resources in your second zip file. This seems to have largely worked, though I get some odd graphical glitches in treasure rooms (and has almost certainly broken other stuff that I haven't noticed yet, lol). Thanks so much for making this!
Thanks so much for making this happen!! It's MOON CHILD!!
Game seems to be running perfectly in browser mode, though I hit start on my gamepad mid level and instead of pausing (expected behavior) it booted me back into the "map," and I think lost my progress :/ Also, even though my gamepad seems to be running fine, I was unable to interact with the Controls menu when it asked me to press the jump button. Using Firefox, if that's relevant!
Excited to try this out! Been enjoying Santa Fighter for my android Flappy Fighter fix, this feels very Third Strike to FF's SF2 vibes. Extremely early thoughts from me, a noob:
- In the tutorial, I think it would be nice to manually go from lesson to lesson - and until the player does that, the current lesson should loop. Mostly saying this as I was having trouble with the timing of grab breaks in particular and I think I only successfully did it by accident in the end, hahah
- I could see there being a third option for button overlay between "normal" and "off" - maybe "minimal"? I'm thinking instead of circles with letters, you just have little dots/pips to indicate button position without crowding the screen
- If possible, I think I'd consider adding something animated to the loading screens - my phone is a bit on the slower side, so there were a couple moments when I wondered if the game had frozen
- In the future, will the character portraits change color to preview your costume choice? If that would balloon the app, then perhaps adding a two-tone color indicator next to the character, or changing the colors used on the "name tags"?
Great work on this so far, it's super impressive! Going to have to try it out on my Retroid Pocket at some point :D
