Beat it!
Took a couple tries, and it's a shame you only get xp through ammo drops since it makes stomping the phor kinda meaningless. I think the random encounters are a bit too frequent, to the point I just fled every fight and the compiler could only be killed with max health - which thanks to the low ammo meant I literally couldn't do it if I picked up too much

This was really cool and a crazy way of seeing Marathon. I got through cuz I know Arrival pretty well by now, but I think it being zoomed in doesn't add as much as you hoped. Remember the game gives you a map, so though it's cramped you always know where to go

Very cool, I like and would love to see you work more on it if you're interested

Thank you so much! You're very kind to say so
I think it's largely due to the obscurity of the game. Had a lot of fun making this though - the smallest audiences always sing the nicest songs

Hell yeah, Classic flavor

A little hard to approach if you're not a Mjol-nerd but I got it, so maybe that's enough

The font you use is very hard to read but I LOVE the look. Was the original Fallout game an inspiration? The ui bleeds oldschool vibes

Ohmigod I love this tool. Thank you for making this

I was the same, Sunless Skies is a lot more approachable (and superior imo)

I love that look though, of sci-fi rooted in old world culture that still invents and branches off into new designs - not just laser guns in 70s land (cough cough, bugthesda)

This rocks, you've definitely got that semi-steampunk but closer to old-world imperialist look down with a lot of unique design. the Sunless Skies/Seas series may be inspiration - if not, I recommend it highly

Very cool explosion too, but energy dispersal shockwaves speak for themselves

Check the asset list for the space orbit graphics, there's a lot of good public domain art from that early space enthusiast era. I always keep a lot of it handy, beautiful geometry. Shapes and dots which mean a much

Alas! I hate coding.

Part of why I love unfiction is so I never actually have to balance stats/bug-testing/story/etc. I love the art of giving people a taste of a larger world - implications on wider insanity. I'm planning on some bigger products, so def stay tuned

Oh don't worry about it, I'm well aware there's a lot of folks on the internet who leave useless comments.
I'm just super paranoid about zip bombs and all that, lost a good PC way back to one such encounter. It's a lot better to break up whatever you're posting into separate stuff - especially if it's just a bundle of images.

The white specks on the poster make things hard to read, but the dithering effect came out great. The snippet of dialogue too is also immediately very engaging - the responses even more so.

Definitely getting better at this, bravo!

Kickass. Gotta love buff dudes seeking death through glorious combat. Definitely got the color pallete of the F&A series down, but cranked up the red a bunch

Hey dude, .zip files are scary for users to download so I'd recommend breaking your files out to separate installs. Nobody minds a bunch of buttons

'If Fear and Hunger pushed RPG maker to its limits, this game is sending it on vacation' - That's a GREAT line, very good. Some fun flavor but I would have loved to see more enemy pics, lizardmen are awesome and so rarely seen (BECAUSE THEY HIDE FROM OUR EYES)
Also, unsure if it's intentional but there's a big difference between Annals (Records) and Anals (the uh, other one)
Love it all the same. This is very fun parody

Fun to see what you can do with so little, both your drawings came out very well, but the 'tower' ended up looking more like cliffs viewed from sea when rotated. All cliffs are towers but enslaved by gravity, huh?
Good stuff, also no need to thank me but appreciated all the same

Very cool, the page crease and graphic rub-off effects add a lot. Definitely 2000s coded, back when adverts were vague af and all about mood

AH dear friend, in these times I rely on ice and booze. Your charm and unique nature more than make up for petty keyboard malfunctions (Or perhaps, it's a secret code you're sending me?)

God bless the internet archive. This was a fascinating read

You do me a great honor every time you comment, as always, your writing style is fantastic

HEATWAVE BRAINROT! Hahaha, that's fantastic.

Hey, I really loved this doc and it definitely influenced my own work. Good job, man

Thanks man, I'm always glad to see your comments

Lil personal details is something I strive to include in everything I do. Forgive me if anything is unreadable, my handwriting has always sucked

This rocks, good on ya man

This is actually very funny, good on ya man. Fav is the boss battle idea in 'Ideas for Mindbreaking meta twists'. I'm going to say that one at bars and pretend it's my own idea

Glad you like it!
For reference, the kitty there is my own cat, Dexter spliced with some pics of knight figure parts and a chopped up tiger toy.

Simmons' mask is a physical one I own - not an image I got off the internet. I like wooden masks, they appeal to my sensibilities.

Happy to see this complete, if you need any more help with Itch.io stuff just lemme know

Absolutely shameless. You have no respect for this site

Awesome, thanks man! This looks amazing

Fair enough, though a lot of the bits I could have expanded more fell victim to the 8 page limit.
The whole joke of the document is to essentially scream at the top of your lungs "EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG" and be left with the conclusion that there's no real way a regular cast of characters could definitively prove that fact. It simultaneously changes everything and nothing, like a real conspiracy theory

Never heard of it before, but its definitely captured my attention. I'll give it a shot, thanks!

YES! This is wonderful. I remember seeing that image and wondering what it was until it *clicked* and I can say nothing but praise for all of this
