I’ve identified the cause: the game screen is being cut off, which seems to be misaligning the hitboxes for certain system elements.
Furthermore, the gameplay itself suffers from a lack of explanation in almost every regard. For instance, there is no clear way to buy items (there is no "buy" button), the conditions for triggering a "Game Over" upon defeat in battle are inconsistent and unclear, and training suddenly becomes unavailable even when there is plenty of stamina remaining.
The game balance is also quite poor; enemies that can instantly kill the player with a single hit appear abruptly—making it impossible to bring back treasure chest loot since encounters are guaranteed to happen frequently—and losing a battle results in the total loss of all collected items. These issues combine to make the prospect of going on an adventure completely unappealing.
I played through to the ending!
It was enjoyable.
Regarding the translation, aside from the issue mentioned earlier, there were no major breakdowns in the text that raised concerns.
However, it seems that occasionally the text appears in the original language instead of being translated. That was the only issue.
Here is a report after playing for about an hour.
I occasionally encountered words or characters I couldn't read; upon looking into it, it seems that Chinese characters and terms sometimes get mixed in.
Since Japanese and Chinese are completely different languages, this makes parts of the text unreadable.
However, when I checked the meanings, the words appear to carry the same nuances as their Japanese counterparts, so there doesn't seem to be a breakdown in the translation itself.
I encountered a situation where a marker appeared on the map but couldn't be selected, even though there was no dialogue or cutscene—like being held captive by enemies—to trigger it. I also feel there are far too many instances where game progress stalls due to factors beyond the player's control, such as enemies dropping absolutely no ammunition or food supplies running out incredibly fast (depleting almost entirely just by crossing the map in a straight line).
However, this phenomenon is actually occurring in my save data. If this is unintended behavior, should I provide screenshots and the save data?
For reference, the maximum damage I dealt was 4.3 using the "Blunt Axe."
However, I cannot deal this amount of damage consistently; most hits result in a "miss," 0 (likely a parry, though it happens very frequently), or damage of less than 1.
I haven't been able to craft very many items yet.
There is a reason for this: it is incredibly difficult to figure out which enemies drop which materials.
Basically, the only option is to go around fighting every enemy that looks like a likely candidate, which makes upgrading equipment an unnecessarily tedious process.
Once afflicted with "Cursed Week," Possession Armor takes constant zero damage (or occasionally 0.1 damage).
I explored the entire map (everywhere accessible), but found no mechanism to resolve the issue.
Perhaps the biggest problem with this game is the lack of any way for the player to actively figure out the solution to the situation.
I have a question.
I’ve reached a new area.
When enemies inflict "Cursed Week" on me, I become completely unable to deal damage (at most, I might deal around 0.5 damage), making the game unplayable. Even if I try to heal and turn it into a war of attrition, it’s impossible because I take more than double the amount of damage I heal before I can actually recover any HP. Does this mean there is a specific item or method to resolve this?
I apologize for posting consecutive comments. What I’m about to say might be quite harsh, but please know that I have always supported this game.
Here are my impressions after playing part of version 0.7.
The things that stood out to me were...
・Progressing through the adventure relies far too heavily on luck regarding enemy drops.
Even after playing for about two hours, I couldn't gather the materials needed for the rock-breaking tools (because the enemies that drop them rarely yield the required quantity).
・"Torn Cloth" is used for too many things.
This is closely related to the previous point; Torn Cloth is required to craft most early-game armor and healing items, and the recipes demand large quantities. However, the drop rate is low—yielding only about four at a time (based on what I’ve seen)—so there is a severe shortage. It might be better to increase the drop quantity or provide a way to obtain it without relying on combat.
・There is an imbalance between enemy attack power and the amount of HP restored.
I suspect this impression stems from a combination of the issue mentioned above and another point I’ll bring up later.
・There is no way to craft items reliably.
Because of this, I have to stockpile a huge number of healing items; consequently, upgrading my armor gets delayed, making it difficult to progress in the game.
I am sorry for repeatedly offering such harsh opinions! I will continue to support you!
Hmm, let's see... for example:
■ Discovering a well or spring and choosing whether to drink the water. Drinking it yields either a beneficial or a detrimental effect (perhaps even an involuntary, temporary transformation?).
■ Finding a tent.
Resting restores health but carries a risk of random enemy ambushes (which could potentially branch into erotic events?).
■ Various traps—bear traps, tripwire alarms, and so on... maybe incorporate transformation effects here, too?
We could also create treasure rooms or enemy lairs that can only be found through random events.
I’ve been waiting for this update—thanks!
To be honest, what bothers me is that the game's pacing is very slow and the gameplay feels quite repetitive.
If it were just one of those issues, I’d still be able to enjoy playing it...
Have you considered implementing random events (other than combat or gathering)?
- Regarding the attack being skipped, I might have simply missed the stun icon. Sorry!
- The game becomes unplayable when a sex scene involving the player's female genitalia is triggered, even though the player does not possess female genitalia. The scene selection option will appear grayed out and become unselectable.
The concept is fantastic and fun.
However, I feel that there are currently a lot of bugs and situations where HP cannot be recovered, leading to game over.
The bugs I've encountered are...
- The player is unable to attack with their weapon (selecting an attack displays a blank window, and the player's attack turn is skipped).
- A sex scene between characters of the wrong gender is triggered, causing the game to freeze.
That's it.
Hello. I saw your promotional post on the Japanese TSF free game wiki, and I wanted to comment to apologize if there's still a misunderstanding regarding the genre.
In Japan, TSF primarily refers to a genre where "men become women (through transformation/possession/body swapping, etc.)" as the main focus.
That's probably why it wasn't listed on this wiki.
