Nice game. I was surprised that it starts with quite hard levels,- but you will eventually get into the mechanic. Would probably make the first 3 levels a bit more simple so it is more rewarding for learning 100% of the mechanic. :D

Normally not into those games but really had fun with that. Difficulty is IMO fine, made it in 38 days, close but still not too hard. Very good job!

It works somewhat right now. Basically you need to find the next IP address and hack into the next server and from there to the next one.

Spoiler: If you open the developer console with F12, you see all IPs with their port and password in the console - kind of a hacker easteregg in a hacker game. :D

Yes and No. What I really would like to add are Upgrades, so that the game gets easier and feels even more like progression. So why it should not be easy, I would like to make it less overwhelming after the Jam! Thanks!

Thank you!

Thanks! My wife made the pixel art, we also really liked the Kali inspired background :D
One inspiration for us was the game Hacknet (really recommended to play), but I think we found our very own idea of a game. :)

Yeah we had many more ideas as well. Downloading binary (upgrades) from other servers that make 'PortHack' and 'Ccrack' easier. DDoS attack, a typing speed game (like TypeRacer), finding a password in a wall of text/big log.

Unfortunately time was very limited for us. Appreciate the review! :)

Looks good - I was surprised how hard it actually is to find out the order without exactly knowing what matched.

Spiel ist ganz lustig! Ich finde auch die Idee super, dass sich die Dialoge ändern, je nachdem was man für eine Maske an hat. Vielleicht ein bisschen zu oft 'Was willste'. :D

Liebe Grüße vom GGJ Braunschweig!

Sometimes when I want to Fracture, it doesn't work and the console prints a nullpointer: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Refreshing the game (F5) usually fixes that.

Thank you!

Yes, there are no visuals when accelerating due to the limited time. However, the enemies are faster or slower depending on the speed.
This is something I'm tweaking at the moment, as it's not very satisfying indeed.

Fun fact: At first I made the game faster when accelerating, which looked very nice, but... made everything faster, so also the timer! :D
So I'm looking for ways to speed up the particles in other ways.

This is intentional, the weapon helps you slow down some enemies on the way or destroy the space stations that spawn randomly.
But it is not the goal to destroy everything, dodging should be a critical part of the game :)

I think I broke the game way to fast by equipping the item that will give you quite a big amount exp when selling stuff. :D But I really like the concept and idea. I would definitely play an idle game like that!

Thank you very much!
Agree, you first need to get used to the concept and there was no time for some kind of tutorial :D.
But then you can develop strategies to lose less money and get the most out of a collision with another ship to clear your path! :)

I had a bug where one tree was missing to fulfill the last task

Nice game! The beginning was quite hard for me to understand, so some more obvious first floors would be easier to get into the game. Also love the unique concept!

Thanks!
