Very nice progression, I managed to survive and there's certain strategy to it. Nice use of music also, it's definitively a playable experience, could add some extra sprites or bg to make it more enjoyable.

I agree with the cozy, not so much with the relaxing, haha you need to focus a lot to avoid waking up!
This is a perfect example on how you can take a simple mechanic, and make a brilliant game. I'm pretty sure you took most of the 48 hours setting the tone and preparing the atmosphere. You can tell you work was worth it. Really a solid entry and original on its very own way. I congratulate you and hope you can make more games like this!
Congratulations on your first jam! I really liked the concept and I personally enjoy this kind of games.
Two minor fixes I would add:
- Sometimes you can place artifacts outside of the "map".
- If you place too many furnaces you get to negative wood. You could internally round that to zero, since having negative wood makes no sense in the context of the game (keep the negative value for progression calc, but show the user 0)
Some audio would be nice too! Keep it up!
The aiming system is weird, I liked it at first but after a while I just hated it. Kevin Mcleod music? Loved it. I ended up #8 on the leaderboard. I found that the game was laggier than it should be. I guess you used the platformer starter but ended up adding too much in a scene it was a bit laggy for me. What really is outstanding from this game is the "theme" usage. Not only you picked an obvious starter, but delivered as a theme also, you start "as a starter" and the game evolves. That would be a 5/5 theme for me. Oh! you're the dev from Rapid Recoil. I always struggle with your games dude XD keep it up! You always deliver something special.
Your answer is in the menu: Physics starter! I even left the default asset of terrain. My original idea was to use the board game starter but after the first day I realized I wouldn't be able to complete in the time frame the game I wanted, so I switched to the physics starter. Thanks for the feedback!
Very nice for your first released game! I think the concept is very original, and I enjoy playing games like this. There was a small bug in my case where the first number of the radio code was a bit lower than the others, but besides that, congratulations on delivering a very interesting experience, I think it's 5/5 on originality. I agree that some SFX and music would benefit greatly the game.
3 levels, each one with something different. You really took some time to polish it. It felts engaging, you need to double focus. Time slowing when winning/losing feels awesome. Overall feels like a genuine playable game. I really like menus that are kinda part of the game. I always run out of time to do it, but in your case it suits very nicely into the art overall. Congratulations.
Things that could be improved:
- Enemies dying animation
- Final instructions a bit unclear
- Upgrades can be missed too easily
Things I liked:
- the fast pacing of the game
- animation when getting the dash
- Sound of shooting, felt so nice
- A boss with a pattern, I really like that
Its a short platformer, but has some personality. Congratulations!
Very nice approach, its very fun. At first is challenging but after you collect all the power-ups it becomes easier. Some walls can be bypassed with enough speed haha. After a while it just feel like endles, I reached 80 deliveries. It certainly gives a lot considering the time frame for developing, feels scoped and polished. Congratulations!
Wow, this was by far the most original game I've played this Jam. Very interesting mechanic, definitively wouldn't make it through without audio. I loved the level revealing, I missed one light at the door so I was 9/10 had to go all way back to find it. Nice final scene. Very well done, I loved it.
aff the double double jump and double monster of level 2 was so hard dude, so hard. I loved that you made the SFX and the voice over, that gave the game a lot of personality. You need to let autocorrect your writing tho (unless it was on purpose). The hints were nice but still was very hard for me. Congrats.
Spooky! Two minor improvements I would make
1- If you pause then unpausing leaves you with no sound.
2- Camera shake only on bullet hit, it made me feel a bit dizzy all the movement (or maybe it's just not for me).
Loved the art of the monsters, but it felt different than the spawn points. Really nice death scene. Congratulations!
My highscore failed to save but I reached over $1000 and lvl 10 passive!
Very nice use of starter, I think you avoided overscoping and delivered a very polished version with a nice twist. After a bit it gets repetitive, but every clicker is in some way or another. Really love the BG moving and overall concept.
