Okay... This might be one of the most satisfying battle games I've played in a while (even though I died like 5-7 times, no shame).

I really liked the combat system and  I think it could get seriously intense with the parry (which I have NOT pulled off yet, it's brutal, I'm stuck on it 馃槀) and the dodge moves. What I'd love to see added is maybe an air combo, like Backward+Y  and then light attacks with XXX!! But honestly, already having one with LT or Y is really nice as is. Small thing I noticed: both follow-ups (Y and LT) seem to deal the same damage, but LT costs gauge and Y doesn't... might be worth balancing

What I liked: The combat, the design, the combat (yes, again), the tension, the reflex-testing that kind of makes up for the lack of combos (though I didn't even see them all since I never finished the tutorial, parry stopped me in my tracks).

What I didn't like: Honestly? Not sure. Maybe the combo variety, if I had to pick something.

Hey y'all!

I'm a Godot dev and for a while now, I鈥檝e been prototyping my game鈥檚 core mechanics using just capsules and gray boxes. recently, I started brainstorming the visual direction and I got heavily inspired by the art style of the manga/anime Tenmaku no Jaadugar.

I鈥檝e noticed that very few 3D games manage to capture a real 2D anime feel. Games like Genshin Impact, Breath of the Wild, or the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series look great, but you can still feel that smoothed-out, slightly "plastic" 3D render underneath.

The closest game I鈥檝e seen hit that sweet spot is probably Hi-Fi RUSH.

So it got me thinking: Is it truly possible to make a 3D game feel like authentic 2D hand-drawn anime without losing the depth, lighting, and gameplay advantages of a3D environment?

I'd love to hear your thoughts, references, shader tricks, or art pipeline advice if you've tackled something similar!

(By the way, if any 2D/3D artists are vibe-checking this concept and interested in a gritty, narrative-driven stealth game , feel free to reach out!)
