That's because the joystick is actually port 1, not 2.

Any chance at getting a review copy for Zzap64? Cheers!

Never been able to find creator emails on itch. You can email me at mayhemers@hotmail.com instead 👍

Any chance of a review copy of this for Zzap?

It got Luck, Freeze, Cloak, and Shock, so yeah it was a losing battle from the start! Even though I had Heal, Push, and 9s.

This will be going into Issue 34 of Zzap!64. Been enjoying this. Got stiffed on my first attempt against Cheatbot on the hardest level with the selection of widgets it got. I had no chance despite my best efforts :P

I have a real job, this is done in my spare time amongst everything else. Sheesh, who thought asking a simple question would invoke so much ire and consternation? As said, we are obliged most of our review copies for free. Most of tbe payback on a review is the publicity rather than the actual score the game receives, if we don’t get a copy, c’est la vie, something else gets reviewed, no skin off my nose.

We get paid so 🤷🏻‍♂️

You don't know me,  please don’t pretend either to know our processes. We don’t get a budget for reviewing games. We are thankful, and always state as such to the dev teams and publishers, that the vast majority of paid for titles are given to us as review copies. To use the age old expression, if you don’t ask, you don’t get, and if a dev declines, then that’s their choice and we respect it. To date, no one has declined.

Any chance we could get a copy of the C64 version for review in Zzap!64? Cheers.

Well they ARE the fun easy levels heh. Just wait until you find the one that gives you no skills…

You have to dig under the blocker…

The version of VICE used by C64Forever isn’t recent enough to run it properly.

“We hope you enjoy Lemmings Reloaded as much as we enjoyed creating it!”

Erm, yes we did heh…

Any chance we can get a review copy for Zzap64?

Needless to say we were already lining this up for next Zzap thanks for the early access!

It’ll go into the Zzap queue, you’ll have to see if we review it heh

Yeah he shut the store, and when I spoke to him last, he said he'd be back but didn't know when. Seemingly "when" may sadly be "never", and I've not been able to reach him since.

Can we expect anything new from you soon? Seems an age since this came out.

Cheers, needless to say was asking because yes, playing on the cartridge image! I’ll email you, thanks.

Any way to transfer existing high scores?

Email sent!

Any chance we can get a review copy for Zzap? We gave Echoes of the Future a pretty good review recently heh.

Would it be possible to get a copy of the C64 game to review in Zzap64?

DolphinDOS was like one of the very first on-board kernals to speed up loading times. Alongside JiffyDOS. We are talking 40 years ago here when they came out. You may be able to get them online to insert into VICE and test that way too.

Got quite a way through, how many levels in total are there? (without repeatedly hitting F5 to find out!). May end up review wise in Zzap!64 issue 32, we have an awful lot of games competing in the aftermath of Impossible Mission 3 heh

It works fine with Vice and Denise because that’s how we reviewed it for Zzap.  I’m not sure any of us have TheC64 etc to try it. If we do find issues we do report them to the devs.

A review of this will be forthcoming in Zzap!64 issue 31...

You can ping anything over to mayhemers@hotmail.com for chatz or more

I don’t pay $5 for coffee here lol.

Seriously though, someone may purchase it.

Any chance of a review copy? ;)

Will be going into Zzap!64 issue 31...

Generally I’m the strongest player on the review team heh

Oak Island is better than the first Deathflood, but still horrendously frustrating at times heh. There will be a review of it AND Sherwood in the next issue of Zzap!64

I knew I had seen it somewhere before, so thanks for that, will be referenced in the Zzap review.

Level 13 had me going "huh?!" until I accidentally discovered there's a move you can perform that isn't listed in the manual. It's definitely the hardest of the series so far. But not unbeatable ;)

I wrote the intro so apologies for the mistakes. Given some other games in the last five years or so have taken to giving infinite levels on the easiest setting, and the lives counter wasn’t going down, I assumed the same here for this game. And weirdly I couldn’t trigger the srtifacts on the easiest setting but I did on the middle setting, leading me to believe otherwise. It seemed logically that other games also stop you getting the best ending on the easiest setting.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I got at far as level eight. Yes the waterfall level is quite tricky to figure out heh, but that’s part of the fun!

Getting to 15? Probably a couple of hours. I generally tried to explore most/all of each level unless I was struggling for health.

Having played through a few times for the Zzap!64 review, the bow is definitely the better weapon than the sword. Furthest reached level 15 with the bow and died mostly due to bad spawns.

Didn't discover this until a month or so back. It's being lined up for a review in issue 29 of Zzap!64 magazine.
