I feel seen

you are better then me at my own game

(1 edit)

I really enjoyed the game. the ways the coins work as both your health and action counter. it made it fun to play the game again and try to jump less and not get hit.

I didn’t get the doors. The first run I did I made it to the end with 184 coins without using the doors. Then I tried to use them in the next run and they just didn’t seem worth it to me. They might be more fun for people who are not as experienced with platformers giving them a way to skip a level they struggle with and finish the game. They are just not for me.

The fact you can’t move in the air made the platforming more challenging and made a lot of sense theoretically since you are a goblin trying to carry way too much gold.

I like the short story blurb at the start. It helps sell the game and the setting, making me more invested right off the bat. I might try to do something similar in one of my future jam games.

Good job :) very impressive for one of your first jams especially a 3 day one.

that's so cool to hear. what was your top score?

thank you so much. unfortunately, I can't make music, not yet at least. this is the task I plan to work on.

nice job. I saw you also added a background. it really ties the game together making it feel complete

it felt good to play, which can be hard to do with platformers.

you made the limited art style work for the game. it communicates what you need to know about the game very effectively, and it looks good and cohesive.

the mechanic was interesting and fun to play with. also, it could have been nice to have a faint preview of where the differently colored platforms are going to be. sometimes it felt like I was jumping in the dark, which was frustrating, but it wasn’t a problem in most of the game. I mean, I still made it to the end.

it is a fun, short game. props for using pygame (pygame was what got me into game development in the first place, but I never got to your level with it).

so cute. I love the art, the music, and the general mood you created. such a short and fun experience.

the game has gotten harder since I played it (or I have gotten worse). a fun endless game that reminds me of older web games

👀

I am looking for feedback. so if you have any thoughts about the game leave them in the comments

I had fun playing the game. it was the right amount of challenge for a jam game.

it was missing a bit of polish in some places. for example, the death of the player lacked impact, and the animation that is played when changing the gravity's direction is disorienting.

the inclusion of the cutscenes, the game's art, and the short description on the game's page gave the game a strong setting and story that hooked me in immediately. I am bummed that there was no ending cutscene (maybe I had a bug or something because after beating the bold guy level it took me back to the main menu). I wanted to see where it was all leading to.

a really cool geometry inspired game with a surprisingly strong setting for a jam game.

thank you. glad you had fun

I'm a sucker for challenging games . and I keep making my games too hard from the start
