This feels like an obscure Atari game in the best possible way. You can't really see what's coming so avoiding obstacles is tough, especially at speed, but that hyper warp speed effect is *chefs kiss*!
Super impressed by how complete this game is. Feels more like a Steam demo rather than a jam entry. In an alternate universe I can see Nintendo shipping Cat-Girl-Cop-Car Olympics instead of Wii Sports circa 2007.
Took a bit of practice, but I got the hang of it. Had to figure out the higher != better (except for maybe the high jump event 😂). Sound effects are perfect and the UI is superb. I especially enjoyed the cheering ground in the grandstands.
My only gripe is that I wish the catgirl bounced around the level instead of exploding into viscera. More ragdoll in a physics jam is never a bad thing! 😁🙌🏻
I really like the concept of a circular snake, but I couldn't figure out the controls and also lost the snake a few times off screen and had to restart.
Genuinely fun to play, and can quite quickly become chaotic! Reminded me very much of a mobile game I used to love called Traffix. It looks good and feels good to play too, you even had time to put in a tutorial! Great entry overall!
Thanks for playing! I agree, it is pretty hard to play, I should have planned more time to playtest and balance. It is possible to steal the coin and wait on the roof of the train while it is stopped at the bank before making your escape.
Simple and sleek! Well designed. I thought it was maybe a bit too simple at first but the puzzles quickly became more interesting/tougher to solve. I only played through the first 4 groups.
I think the game could benefit from having the player hold left mouse to trace the letters. Sometimes I would accidentally hit the wrong letter while trying to navigate my cursor to my desired first letter.
Also possibly an option to rotate the board because reading letters upside down is a little tricky (perhaps with the scroll wheel!)
Thanks for your review! I agree there isn't much time to find the coin, but I didn't have time to balance properly. You can grab the coin and wait on the roof while the train is at the Bank! You won't be caught this way. Also that is very funny that the train malfunctioned. 🤣 I never saw that happening while I was working on the game but the code for the train is admittedly a bit thrown together.
