Thank you!! Haha, honestly I'm not that great at it either ^^

But super glad you enjoyed the experience :)

Thank you!! Haha yep, had some fun with some camera tricks ^^

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it :)

Heya! So there are 2 things here:

  1. there is currently a small bug that "hides" the link types between icons when you drag-and-drop them in place (e.g. here the "sound on" icon at the end is linked to its left and right neighbours by "category" and "category"/"opposite"/"prefix" on the right) - I'm going to fix this very soon! :)
  2. the link types shown between icons use "OR", meaning that here for example, between "note, solo" and "note, mute", you could consume a link of type "category", "opposite" or "prefix".

Typically in that example, if the link types were visible on the right after fixing the bug, you'd get a valid chain that does:

pickaxe >(prefix)> piano >(cause/effect)> note, solo >(opposite)> note, mute >(category)> sound on >(opposite)> sound off

that does match the given amounts at the top. Hope it clears things out, and thank you so much for trying the game! :)

Short but nice game! The visuals really sell the atmosphere :)

Cool concept! Could use some SFX but I like how all enemies converge on you when you start to break walls ^^

Nice one!

Thank you!! :)

Really cool concept! The mix of action and puzzle works well and the game feel is great :)

Thanks, super glad you liked it! Haha yep, had some fun with the crazy effects and theming everything music-wise ;)

Cheers!

Nice puzzle concept, the respawn definitely adds a lot to a basic sokoban. I also like the minimalist visuals :)

Maybe it could be nice to have a "last spawn rewind" instead of fully resetting the puzzle, in case you do a small mistake and don't want to start over? (or perhaps I just managed my board badly ^^)

Cool idea, you could absolutely make more levels with that mechanic!

Thank you!! Very happy you liked the game & polish :)

And I completely agree the "end-game" is pretty harsh at the moment, if I decide to keep working on the game I'll definitely try to design something to make it more interesting and more fair to the players ^^

Oh and thanks for your kind words about the sound/music, glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much! Super glad you enjoyed the concept + polish :)

And yep there is definitely some ideas to be found to better balance the "end-game" - for the jam I really wanted to aim for short games, so I was ok with things getting crazy at one point, but if I decide to keep going on this project I might think of something to make games last longer and feel a bit less unfair ^^

Thanks again, cheers!

Nice concept! I like the shaders/post-process, they really give a unique visual style :)

Maybe you could add a little delay when the shop activates because I clicked on items several times without even getting to read their desc ^^ (also the screen shake might be a bit much, I feel like it tires the eyes a bit!)

Really nice take on the theme :)

Very cool idea! I really like the typing take on the theme, and the intro cutscene really sets up a nice atmosphere :)

Wow, great concept! I love how you used the theme, and sorting the backpack is definitely a cool mechanic to combo it with :)

Only note is maybe it's a little too easy, but balancing is obviously hard during a game jam ^^

Great job!

Thank you! Super glad you enjoyed it :)

Thank you so much!! Yeah I'd have loved to add a tutorial but I didn't have the time ^^ (if I decide to keep working on it, adding in-game explanations is definitely the first thing on the to-do list :D)

Super glad you liked the UI + polish :)

Thank you so much! Super glad you liked the game and found the experience enjoyable :)

Thank you!! Haha yep, chaos was the ultimate goal here ^^ Happy you liked it!

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it :)

Thank you so much for your kind words!! Haha, I'll definitely consider it if it gets some attention/traction here during the jam ;)

Thank you so much! Yeah that was a real question - I added it after a while because I felt like it really added to the tension and optimisation (otherwise it was more about reflexes), but if I continue working on the project I'll definitely have some items/effects/power ups to play around with this "click restore delay" ;)

Cheers!

Thanks!! Very happy you liked the game and its atmosphere :)

Thank you so much! Haha yep I had fun thinking of various constraints and the upside-down one was definitely a hoot to add ^^

Nice puzzle game, the art looks great!

Cool concept! I really like the visuals and the bullet time VFX, it looks amazing :)

I do feel like I didn't use the timestop mechanic that much, though, but I guess it also depends on how enemies are balanced and that's so hard to do for a game jam ^^

Nice work!

Nice concept, I liked that there are some physics involved - though it could probably gain a lot from having different types of items in addition to the powerups, to not just spam click+spacebar ;)

Nice, and interesting take on the theme! The visuals are a really nice way to integrate it with some originality :)

Simple but cool concept! I'm not exactly sure what I need to do to win, but I still enjoyed playing for a while and filling the grid with plenty of gear-making stuff :D

(1 edit)

Really cool game, I love the atmosphere and the wax-theme :)

(Just a note if you want to continue on this project: maybe the way the selected action is shown could be something else/more than just the color, cause I found it a bit confusing to know which action was selected... ^^ )

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it :)

Thank you so much! Yup I'd have loved to add a tuto, but I didn't have the time :/

I put everything in the description but if I decide to continue the project, add in-game explanations will be the first thing on the to-do list :D

Thank you! Super glad you liked it :)

Thank you so much! Yeah I wanted to go for a hardcore arcade/action game ;)

Thanks so much for your kind words! Yep I don't know if I'll keep working on it (depends on the traction it gets here during the jam), but if I do I'll definitely try to design a better "run progress", where perhaps you can improve your click, etc.

Thank you for the feedback!

Fun twist on the theme - and I like the minimalist art style :)

I think maybe clicking 10 times to validate each UI panel is a bit much, but other than that, nice!

Wow, such a cool and unique concept! I love how it's easy-to-learn, hard-to-master, well done! :)

Really fun and original game! I love the minimalist aesthetic + system, and it's a really clever take on the theme :)

Cute and nice puzzle game, I like the original art vibe!

Fun game - at first I was a bit confused which way bacteria were going to go when I click, but I got it after a few tries ;)
