Hi!

My name is Timon. I worked as an app dev but 8 months ago I decided to quit my job to pursue my dream: to be a game dev!

I joined a game design course and one of the tasks is to do a market research about Tactical and Strategic games. This will help me understand the motivations and expectations of gamers I wish to play my games, thus guiding my game concepts towards them.

I tried your demo. The visuals are awesome, really nice seeing again some ASCII art (brought me back to my childhood :D).

Regarding the gameplay, there are some situations in which I did not understand what I needed to type. In those cases I tried random numbers which indeed did something but it was not clear before which inputs I could use. Especially when fighting a monster, after I choose an attack and the game shows the hit damage,  the prompt is waiting for something for which I had no clue what to type.
