To start creating one, you'll need a computer and an application called Ren'Py, which is where most visual novels begin to be created!

You start by learning some programming, so by watching a few 30-minute tutorials, you can already learn the basics! (Also, if you ever have questions about a specific command, you can simply search for it on Google. There are several Ren'Py pages that can help you throughout the creative process!)

Now, about Yandere itself!

There are many games that treat the Yandere concept in a lighter and much softer way, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that! It's actually a great way to include people who may be more sensitive to this kind of content in the community.

But if you want to write a visual novel with a genuinely aggressive Yandere (like Skylar), it's better to have a bit of a thick skin for it. People don't usually react very well to this kind of game! (That's just based on my own experience, though! You might find some amazing people who will absolutely love your game regardless of what it's like.)

Nooo! Reworking the heavy scenes in the game would be almost like taking away its essence. Unfortunately, the yandere visual novel community has a lot of children in it, so even though this content isn't meant for them, there's really no way for me to prevent them from playing. The most I can do is add a huge content warning screen about the adult content present in the game.
