Our team is having such a great time watching this. We are so grateful you saved the playtest. Watching anyone play this loop so far has made me so worried that you get _too_ frustrated on the journey, but also feels so exciting when you catch on to another aspect of the physics system. It's always complicated figuring out what a satisfying balance is and this VOD is such an insightful view into what makes it work and what makes it more annoying. Thank you for spending so much time on this entry, I really appreciate it.
INTRO WAS PEAK, and the gameplay was so fun (music hit hard btw holllly). Why does this little rat need a car when all of their customers live on the top of multi-story buildings.. LOL! PERFECT.
in all seriousness playing this, I had a Vietnam flashback of when I was a child playing Disney flash-games at home on my family computer (very nostalgic). I guess you can say you ratatouille'd me. Great Entry, Great work!
driving is awesome, the map is absolutely massive.. I was confused on DAY 1 but holly did it ramp up.. by DAY3 I was sweating to deliver pizzas in-time and made quite a few close calls. There are too many idiots on that mountain that want pizza and it takes me like 20 minutes to get up there lol. This feels like its like very close to being a finished game you should abosolutely keep working on it and release it. I like that I could place ramps and halfpipes, on day 1 I did loopdy loops jumping over the ramp lol. The only real criticism I have is that the UI needed some juice but with a map that large I can imagine it would have taken a long time to tune progression.. Great work amazing you could pull that together in such a short period!
I was a bit worried when I saw this due to the similarity to our systems but our gameplay loops are very different.. phew. Very cool concept, I like the idea of slowly upgrading your maneuverability and fuel through exploring space. It made for a very satisfying progression system. Also love the build system at the beginning great job!
soo much content/boss fight mechanics, I really had to think about where my character would be on each bosses turn and plan out my attacks. I really liked the art, and I was really excited that you could choose classes with different move-sets. I do think having music queue you in on when turns were coming up would have been a cherry on top but super understandable that sort of sauce could not be implemented in time due to how much content is here.
my poor smooth brain kept forgetting what my previous action was and I'd be like ah man I shot over there a second ago. I think having indicators lock down for what you had previously setup up like a line to where you are going to shoot/move etc in 3 seconds might have made me catch on faster. Overall it was a really fun experience though.
this was quite difficult for me so it took me a quite a few attempts to get through it all. Having to dump most of your fuel before landing was challenging for me for some reason (I think that's intended though). I had a lot of fun with the controls and it reminded me of some browser flash cool-math game I played as a child.
