Hello, thanks for playing the Demo! The upgrades always start from 0 except the white sheep count. it starts with count 1 in the level 0; this might be the part that confused you. And you can check the hover tooltips, they show the current and next values for the upgrade

Great game! The levels were really challenging. I'd love to see more levels and maybe new maps.
