Hello. I have been developing games for almost a decade and have a formal education in game development. I am currently trying to earn funds to continue solo development of a game of my own. As such, I am offering for hire what I learned during my long journey. While I worked professionally before, that work is still under binding NDA. I can give some outliers when contacted privately. Otherwise, I describe a wide range of skills I can contribute to your project below.

Programming
Programming skills are my biggest forte. I work primarily in GameMaker Language and have been doing so since I started. My GitHub acts as my portfolio, containing various tools I have published that bring some aspects of GameMaker closer to state-of-art quality, introducing features not commonly found in GameMaker projects and coming with examples of fully-fledged documentation.

I can also write in other programming languages, such as C#, which I can exemplify with a finished projects that I also ported to non-Windows platforms. Lastly, my major involved me working in Unity.

I am comfortable with writing networking code and work around both 2D and 3D graphics. When it comes to GameMaker, I should be able to program most, if not all features required by your project.

Game design
As I am in process of creating several games of my own, a large part of this is designing them. I am most comfortable with designing turn-based games, particularly ones relying on logic-based effects, such as card games. However, I can partake in the process of designing a real-time game, as well. I have an analytical mind and I know what good and unique games are made of; I am always looking for opportunities to share that with the rest of the world.

Like mentioned before, most of that work is not public at the moment. However, one work that I can most comfortably share publicly is my fan work for a giant of a card game, "Yu-Gi-Oh!". It involved design of gameplay and unique rules for a set of cards. An expansive rulebook I wrote for it is exemplified here and it can be played on Steam here.

Audiovisual work
I draw the graphics for my projects in an art style akin to what could be found on the first PlayStation. I also can create 3D works in Blender, be it modelling or animation. Furthermore, I have experience creating sound effects. I can contribute these skills if needed, although I likely will not be your main artist.

Here is an example 3D render I made outside of game development-related projects.

Translation
I implement support for multiple languages in my own games, as I translate them to English, in addition to my native language, which is Polish. I have past experience writing to a news outlet in my native language, sourced from English. I have know-how and contacts when it comes to working in my own language.

I can handle programming translation support for your project, including to non-Latin languages. I know some Japanese and have a general idea of how Asian languages work.

Work details
If any of the above interests you, feel free to contact me and let's see how my skills can be adjusted to your project:

I am looking to work for at least a few months, either with a stable monthly pay or for short-term commissions. We can negotiate payment, depending on what you would like me to work on.

My time-zone is Central European Time.

Please note up front that I am unable to work on the basis of revenue share-based payment, unless your project is releasing soon. I also will not work with technologies based on blockchain and generative learning models. Thank you!
