If "the house on the hill" has its lights turned off, shouldn't the text change to "The porch light is off."? (Yes, this is minor, but still).

Also, I see a slight inconsistency in the version numbers: the full title states the version is "alpha v0.2.0", but below it, it is stated it is "Version alpha-v0.2.2".

Is this game mobile-only? It seems like the frame size makes it impossible to play on other platforms.

Some inaccuracies regarding chemical names:

  1. HPOH is not phosphorus monoxide (PO), it is the hydroxyphosphino radical (or possibly the hydroxyphosphinide ion, but the charge is missing then). However, the game does feature the actual phosphorus monoxide (the aforementioned PO) iff one successfully reacts the initial P atom with O.
  2. HOPOH is not phosphorus dioxide (PO2), it is the dihydroxyphosphino radical (or again, possibly the dihydroxyphosphinide ion, but again, the charge is missing then).
  3. HOP(O)OH is not phosphorus trioxide (it's P2O3), it is dihydroxyphosphinyloxy radical.

1 issue not related to chemical names: As of Firefox 158.0, game slows down at the transition from RNA strand to protocell.

Later colors may remain on restart (but cannot be matched until reaching the point where they appear, e. g. purple until 6,000, orange until 8,000). However, rainbow doesn't occur until 3,000 points, regardless of the score achieved before.

At order 15, there are 268,435,457–1,073,741,824 segments. I think that is the reason why it crashed at order 15 in full-curve view.

On Firefox 158.0, game doesn't function (even after restarting the browser). It throws an error ("WebGL context lost").

Contradiction: According to the echoes' description, echoes initially add 5% to the production. According to the description of the upgrade that improves them, they give 3%. (Just checked, baseline is 5%).

The upgrade actually doubles the effect of echoes instead of multiplying it by 1.2, so it increases it to 10%.

Buying a higher generator in PC3 causes Overflow and reset.

Additional variable names (and proposed descriptions):

  • Wooden pickaxe: "This actually has the shape of a pickaxe, but still not very durable."
  • Iron pickaxe: "Iron is known for being hard and used for steel."
  • Aluminium pickaxe: "Aluminium is soft and light. Slightly less durable than iron."
  • Gold pickaxe: "Gold is corrosion-resistant but soft."
  • Titanium pickaxe: "Made of a hard metal often used in prosthetics."
  • Platinum pickaxe: "Platinum is well known for its limited reactivity."
  • Diamond pickaxe: "Diamonds are one of the hardest materials."*
  • Mythril pickaxe: "The ultimate pickaxe in the game."

(*) Some materials are (at least claimed to be) harder than diamonds.

You can also set the XP so it ceases to be stuck (setxp 1 means you will have 1 XP toward next level).

So the 2nd issue is indeed limited to keyboard layouts (like the one on my keyboard) where on the top row, 0 is before 1. Thanks!

Found a few more issues.

Universe can be entered from "Send probes" menu

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click "View discovered universes in this dimension".
  2. Click "Send probes".
  3. Click any discovered universe.
  4. One enters the universe clicked.

Expected behavior: One cannot enter universe from "Send probes" menu.

Pressing top row "0" key closes windows on some keyboard layouts

This depends [thanks for the information] on keyboard layout, as some keyboard layouts have 0 before 1 instead of after 9 on the top row.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a window within the game.
  2. Press top row "0" key.
  3. The window closes.

Expected behavior: "0" does not close windows independent of keyboard layout.

Variable names as achievement descriptions

I found 3 achievement categories where this occurs:

  • "SAVE_OBJECTIVE" instead of "Have {X} money" (or was it "Save {X} money"?), where X is a number formatted in the selected notation (e. g. 1G in SI format, or 1e9 in scientific notation)
  • "CONQUER_OBJECTIVE" instead of "Conquer {X} planets".
  • "BUILD_OBJECTIVE" instead of "Build {X} buildings".

I still found some issues:

  • A6 now works (mostly) as intended, but unlocked achievements still show up as "10/11" despite unlocking it.
  • PU1 and PU3 being bought is not saved after refreshing.
  • Challenges (rewards, completions) still reset (sometimes) after prestige.

Another request: Instead of merely incrementing PP shown on the button, show PP as log_X(points/1,000,000,000), where X is the multiplier required to get next PP. As of the time I wrote this, I reached past 1e360000 normal points, but the button doesn't keep up, still saying that I'd gain <140,000 PP (1e360000 with level 4 PU2 would gain >160,000 PP).
Update: This is related to the above request, but if I have sufficient points, the prestige button merely counts the frames since the beginning of the session (i. e. refreshing the page resets the button to "0 PP, next at: 1.00e9 Points", then increment PP every frame). If I have1e550,000 points with level 5 PU2, if the button showed floor(log_90(points/1,000,000,000)), I would get >281,000 points, but after a refresh, the button resets to zero and counts frames until PP reaches that point (actually somewhat higher, as PPow multiplies the multipliers).

I meant the prestige button behaves that awkwardly. Also, PC1 completions just reset randomly after that.

Sorry. It was swapped when I last loaded it. Now the images are fine, thank you. But I'd report another 2 issues:

  • PC1 completions (and their rewards) reset after resetting (but after >3 resets, it seems to work).
  • Despite resetting without G4–G6, its achievement turned back white after the update, and no matter what I do, it isn't registered as completed. Yes, I even tried not buying anything but G1. So currently it says 10/11 achievements completed.

Unlocking challenges revealed another bug: the challenge does not work the intended way: costs are the same (unless there is something I should only see above a certain point, e. g. 1e60).

Also, now the achievement images are misplaced: A10's description belongs to A11 and vice-versa.

I originally thought the challenge was broken, but it's the rewards/upgrades that simply take another reset.

I'd note some bugs:

  • According to the options menu, there are 10 achievements, but according to the achievement list, there are 11.
  • (I found this when I bought PU3): Challenges menu does not unlock. This may be related to the above bug, but I am not sure.

Thank you, it was fixed.

Issue still persists as of 1.0.0.X. So it is related to the button.

I noticed different rounding rules for values under and above 1,000. E. g. a number can be rounded to 169 with the rule for lower numbers, but a number 10 times larger may be rounded as 1.70K (e. g. when a token is golden).

Sometimes (in my case, on second reset) the game resets with 0 points with no change at all.

As of version 0.30.x, mineral drops from clearing squares in "molten" caves do not work regardless of mineral filter status. Rocks and chests work as intended.

In version 0.30.5, phase diagrams stopped working the intended way. Moving the colored circles changes nothing in the phase diagrams.
