UI is pretty rough to work in for Bevy, so I decided to focus on other aspects of the game this time. I'm definitely looking into creating some reusable UI plugins in the future though. Thank you for playing!

Thank you!! Yup I agree, keeping your weapons up and dodging the occasional projectile is pretty much all you need for the early game, but the kraken attacks really start adding up. I'm glad you liked the idea as well!

Oh interesting, I've never heard of the book. We very much themed our game around greek mythology and Theseus and our gameplay around the paradox.

We decided to follow the limitation more than the theme as the theme is optional. We did have ideas for integrating wind into the game, but they ended up being more annoying than interactive. Also the game isn't made in a custom engine, but it's actually made with Bevy, which is a rust library/engine that helps with an ECS system as well as other features like rendering sprites and UI. I got pretty far, I learned you can stop to hide from lasers which is pretty cool

Pretty cute game although I had a bunch of houses asking for blue cats but no blue cats were spawning :(

The way the cat moves forces you to really plan your movement which is pretty cool

I did use A/D! I tried multiple configurations and stuff but couldn't figure out how to make the U shape fish thing work. I'm not very good with puzzles though!
