Simple but charming game! Fish are cute :) Taken to the extreme, one could accumulate a ton of cash, so saving up and then spamming fish is a fun strat. Interestingly, oxygen and carbon dioxide face huge swings at high fish populations - meaning even by spamming plants, fish can still die from no oxygen. At high fish population, food takes just seconds to run out and is another limiting factor. The background music eventually stops too.

Clownfish don't live in freshwater, so that was quite funny. I tried to see just how many clownfish could fit in the tank before their death rate was too quick to keep up with, quite a lot...

I'm glad that you had fun even though there is much that could be done to make this more playable. The Twine project is quite messy, if you have questions I can try and answer them. I'd love to see what you come up with if you work on a project, drop me a message so I can check it out :)

Hi Reapernx, I came across your game with a link from your roguelikedev post. I really like the look of your screenshots. Do you have a downloadable version for MacBook? I'd love to check your project out :)

Sflr man! I'm fine if you modify the code and make anything with it - I did so myself as an amalgamation of the tutorials and sources I found. Appreciate the ask, you could drop a link to here from your project. I would like to have a play at your project if you do make it. :)

Hey, thank you fortbonnitar for your finding! I appreciate it. I've quickly fixed the rendering, it should work for you now. Feel free to let me know if you encounter any further bugs.

For some reason the simulation doesn't work as I recall (It's 1.5 years since I've touched it). I plan on revisiting it, fixing the issues that I find and implementing some new ideas.

Ry, I enjoyed playing a few runs of this game. Very unique concept and application, don't usually see Twine games that are this open-ended. Thanks for the fun!
