Hi, translating the game would be quite challenging at this stage, given the amount and type of content. That said, we'll definitely consider it before the Steam release. Thank you for the feedback, and I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to play it in English!

---

你好,目前由于游戏内容的数量和类型,添加中文翻译会比较困难。不过,我们一定会在 Steam 正式发布前认真考虑这件事。感谢你的反馈,也很抱歉你没能用英文体验游戏!

Thank you for the great feedback, and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the experience! As for the AI assets, we will gradually remove them as we continue developing the game.

Thank you for your feedback! We'll think of a way to make the phone logs clearer. Glad you enjoyed it overall!

Thank you! Always wanted to use React for a game :)

Thanks again! Makes sense. Will definitely check Dead Girl Trending. Good luck with this year's jam! :)

Wow, thank you for the detailed (edited) comment! And for your kind words!

Since we've built this with web tech, the save system is kind of already in place - most of the UI and data is running on states that get saved after important user actions. That said, it definitely needs to be extended so players can at least reset their progress and start over.

A few questions on top of my head (if you don't mind sharing):

  • What was the most frustrating thing you found about the timeline app? Or was there something we could have done to make it usable for you?
  • Did the 4-hour gameplay match your expectations, or would you have preferred it to be shorter or longer?

Once again, thank you so much for your comment and great feedback!

Thank you for your feedback! I see what you mean, will think about how we can improve on that :)

Thank you so much! Would love to read your edited comment once you complete it too, but I'm happy to hear you are enjoying so far!

Thank you! Love the Clippy reference in yours 😁

Thank you so much! It was tons of fun making a game in this setting.

Ah, these are some great points. Thank you for your comment! We were thinking about context menus too, will most definitely add them in the next version. And sorry about the Steam link not working (yet). The jam deadline was close, so I had to add it before it's fully ready (pending approval from Valve). Should be working within a few days.

In the meantime, may I interest you in joining our mailing list or Discord? :) I'll update both around our next milestone (Steam demo).

Thank you for the great feedback and kind words! Glad you found the OS part fun to explore!

This is super fun!

Thank you so much!

Thank you! That was probably the thing which was the most fun to develop :)

Thank you! Happy to hear you liked them!

Fantastic game! I got hooked pretty easily and couldn't put it down.

It would be great if you could move the units, though, or control the spawn points at least. And ideally, upgrade between waves.

Nevertheless, it's a great game, with great sound and graphics!

We have just released our murder mystery game, set in 1999 and played within a Windows 98-inspired retro OS simulation.

Here is the link to the web version of the game, for everyone who might be interested in giving it a try: https://ninjachompek.itch.io/the-rivergrove-files

Thank you!

It’s 1999. You are sitting at a computer when you see a mysterious message:

“Don’t let them walk free,” along with a strange set of files.

As you dig through documents, recordings, photos, and locked folders, dark secrets begin to emerge.

Who is the victim? Who is responsible? And who is about to walk free?

An immersive investigation game built for mystery lovers, by mystery lovers.

Thank you! Happy to hear it worked :)

Very cool idea!

We are also using an OS sim (Win98-inspired) setting for our game, although it's in a different genre (mystery).

Good luck!

Thank you for the detailed feedback!

We do indeed have some of these improvements on our list. Adding cat sounds is a great idea. I'll try to reproduce the power-up bug.

Thank you for your kind words!

Thanks, happy to hear that!

Hi everyone,

We are a small team working on our first commercial game. It has Suika-inspired mechanics and a cosy/wholesome art style.

Just posted the pre-demo prototype on Itch: https://ninjachompek.itch.io/cloudy-with-a-chance-of-kittens (it can be played in the browser).

A few minor bugs could be expected :)

Any feedback will be highly appreciated! ❤️

Thank you!

Thank you!

Achievement unlocked: "Accidental Genius"! 🏆

Love it!

+1 :)

Thanks! Just added you.

Awesome! Do you use Discord?

Hey Toby, thanks, that sounds great! To be honest, we don't really have a portfolio. This is our first jam and we never worked together before, although we know each other from quite some time.

Two people from the team work for Black Sea Games and the others are coming from other industries (one full-stack web developer, one AI/robotics engineer and one UX/UI designer).  I personally have been working on Unity as a hobby for a few years now.

Most of us are located in Eastern Europe (EET) and two of us are living in Canada (EST).

I can't speak from experience, since this is my first jam. However, I think same rules apply like with any project that is of a similar kind.

Get enough sleep and do some good planning from the moment you have your final idea written down. Make sure you break it into milestones and make sure to have playable core on Saturday. Then polish and add on top of it.

Hey Toby, did you manage to find a team yet? Interested in joining us? We have a sound designer already, but could definitely benefit from a composer too. Also, we love your work :)

Hey Kayla, thanks for posting! Do you have any examples of your art that I can see? Cheers

Hey Momo, sorry for the late reply! Do you by any chance have a few graphics that you can share, ideally sprites or something else that you created? Cheers

Hey Momo,

Are you an artist or a game designer? We are still looking for 2D artists in our team. Did you manage to find a teammate yet?

Hey Tom,

Nice illustrations! Did you manage to find a team/partner?

Hi there!

This is our first Jam and we are looking for a partner in crime.

We are a team of 2 programmers, game designer, sound designer and a UX/UI designer.

We are looking for a 2D artist of any level (experience). We are happy to work with anyone, as long as they will be exited and invested in this as we are :)

Ideally we will do 3-4 hangout/skype/discord sessions each day on Saturday and Sunday and one on Friday, right after the theme is revealed.

We plan to work a few hours on Friday evening and during the whole day on Saturday and Sunday (except for a few breaks of 30-60 mins for food and exercise/walk out).

Our timezones are EET (most of us) and EST.
