The first public demo of Mythgrid: Creatures is finally live!
This is a small test demo focused on the core experience. For now, it includes the first 3 Story Missions. The Shop and several other systems are intentionally disabled — this isn't meant to represent the full amount of content in the game.
The full game currently features 100 creatures, 60 Story Missions and 5 Chapters, but I want to start small and see how the game actually feels in the hands of other players.
If you give the demo a try, I'd especially love to know:
Was it fun? Was anything confusing? Did you encounter any bugs? And after Mission 3 — did you want to keep playing?
This is the first time I'm putting a playable version of my solo project out there, so every bit of feedback helps me improve the final release.
Thank you to everyone who gives it a shot. ❤️
Enter the Grid. Place. Capture. Discover.

Mythgrid: Creatures — The Grid Is Awakening
A mysterious world. 100 creatures. 60 missions. One grid to master.
Mythgrid: Creatures is an upcoming single-player creature card game for Android, combining collecting, deck building and tactical 3×3 grid battles with a dark fantasy atmosphere.
Important: The first version of Mythgrid: Creatures will be available in German only. Additional languages may follow in the future.
⚔️ Simple Rules. Tactical Battles.
Every creature card has four combat values — one for each side.
Place your creature on the 3×3 battlefield and challenge adjacent enemy cards. If your attacking side is stronger, the enemy creature is captured and changes to your side.
The basic rules are easy to learn, but positioning, deck composition and knowing when to play your strongest creatures become increasingly important as opponents get more dangerous.
One card can completely change a battle.
🐲 Collect 100 Unique Creatures
Mythgrid contains 100 hand-crafted creatures divided into different rarity tiers:
Common • Rare • Epic • Legendary
Some are strange little inhabitants of the world. Others are enormous, ancient beings waiting at the end of your journey.
Build your collection, discover increasingly rare creatures and create a deck that fits the way you want to play.
🎴 Defeat Them. Take Their Cards.
Winning isn't just about reaching the next mission.
After defeating an opponent, you get the opportunity to claim cards from their collection.
That means every new enemy can also contain the creature you've been searching for.
Battle. Win. Collect. Improve your deck. Fight again.
📖 A Five-Act Story Campaign
The campaign contains 60 missions spread across five acts, with the 12th mission of each act culminating in a boss encounter.
Travel through mysterious locations as the story surrounding the Grid gradually unfolds:
Act I — The Broken Seal
Act II — Voices Beneath Stone
Act III — The Last Current
Act IV — The Seal of Night
Act V — Crown Beyond the Stars
What begins as a journey through strange lands eventually leads toward something much larger.
📚 Discover the Bestiary
Collecting a creature doesn't just add another card to a menu.
The Bestiary acts as an archive of the creatures you've encountered, revealing information about their history, behavior, habitats and place within the world.
The goal is for every creature to feel like an actual part of Mythgrid rather than simply another set of numbers.
🛒 Earn Points & Visit the Shop
Battles also reward you with points that can be spent in the in-game shop.
Unlock cosmetic content and personalize your collection without changing the fundamental tactical balance of the game.
One of the main customization systems is the collection of Card Frames.
🖼️ Unlock & Equip Card Frames
Give your favorite creatures a different appearance with unlockable frames.
Purchase new frame designs in the shop, add them to your collection and equip them to your cards.
From restrained borders to much more prestigious designs, frames give you another reason to keep progressing even after you've found the creatures you want.
✨ Battle Effects & Presentation
Mythgrid isn't meant to feel like nine static boxes with cards sitting on them.
Card placement, captures and important moments are supported by visual effects, animations and feedback designed to make battles feel satisfying while keeping the board readable.
Different battle environments and atmospheric effects also accompany your journey through the campaign.
🏆 Build Your Collection
Outside the campaign, your collection becomes a record of everything you've accomplished.
Discover missing creatures, hunt rarities, experiment with different decks, unlock cosmetics, customize your cards and complete your Bestiary.
🤖 Built With the Help of AI — Driven by a Real Goal
Parts of Mythgrid: Creatures were created with the help of AI tools — from development assistance and experimentation to helping turn ideas into something I could actually build and play.
But using AI also made me realize something important: I didn't just want to create another small mobile project.
I wanted to build a real game.
A game with a satisfying gameplay loop. Something you can start playing for a few minutes and suddenly find yourself wanting one more battle, one more creature, one more mission and one more addition to your collection.
That's what Mythgrid gradually became.
I wanted to move away from many of the things that frustrate me about modern mobile games. There are no forced advertisements interrupting your battles, no energy timers telling you when you're allowed to play and no game designed around constantly asking you for more money.
Instead, the idea is simple:
You buy the complete game once for a small price.
Then it's yours.
Play the campaign. Collect all 100 creatures. Build your decks. Unlock frames. Complete the Bestiary. Experiment with strategies. Play for five minutes or spend an entire evening progressing.
And because Mythgrid is designed as a fully offline single-player experience, you don't need a permanent internet connection just to enjoy the game.
AI helped me get closer to something I had wanted to do for a long time: actually take an idea, keep working on it, keep improving it, and turn it into a complete game that I genuinely want people to have fun playing.
At launch, Mythgrid: Creatures will feature:
- 🐲 100 collectible creatures
- ⚔️ Tactical 3×3 grid combat
- 🗺️ 60 campaign missions
- 📖 5 complete story acts
- 👑 Boss battles

Hey everyone!
I've been working on my dream project for the past few months: Pixel Arena, a pixel-art fantasy auto battler for Android.
The idea is simple: You build a team of champions, enter the arena, and watch them fight while every champion uses their own strengths, abilities, and AI. My goal isn't to create another flashy mobile game full of ads and timers—I want battles that are satisfying to watch and a game that rewards strategy over spending.
The game is still in Pre-Alpha, so a lot of things are work in progress. Some champions are still missing their final sprites, balancing is constantly changing, and many menus and features are still being improved.
Current features include: • 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 arena battles • Multiple unique champions • Training system • Hall of Champions • Honor progression • Beautiful ember-inspired fantasy UI • Offline gameplay
This is a true passion project that I'm building mostly on my own, and I'd really love to hear honest feedback from people who enjoy indie games, auto battlers, or pixel art RPGs.
If you'd like to test the game, report bugs, or simply tell me what feels fun (or what doesn't), I'd be incredibly grateful. Every bit of feedback helps shape the project.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope Pixel Arena can become something special one day. ❤️
