I totally get it, college can be suuuper time-consuming T w T, I have a bunch of ideas sitting paused too lmao.

And polishing something can get really tiring after a while, so don't overwhelm yourself trying to do everything at once!! You can just take whatever feedback you like and spread it out across different updates. No need to cram everything into one build :3

I'd definitely love to see more from you though!! And if you ever want more feedback on future builds or other projects, I'd be super happy to help again :3

Alsooo, if you ever want more specific feedback on the graphics, UI, music, or just need a hand with some of that stuff in general, feel free to hit me up!! I'd gladly help out uwu

Hewwooooo! :3

Cute little adventure! I really love the style and simplicity of it, and the overall design is very eye-catching. Here are some notes on bugs, quirks, things I loved, and a few things that I think could be improved uwu:

  • The background tiles in the menu aren't seamless, so some of them look a little chopped up.
  • I'd love to be able to see which levels I've already completed on the level selection screen.
  • Some of the sprites feel a little inconsistent, so the game doesn't quite have a defined visual language yet. My favourites were definitely the penguin, the coins, and the trees from the ice levels. I'd love to see the rest of the sprites follow a more unified style for a more cohesive experience overall uwu.
  • The character seems to get stuck in the air when jumping or falling whilst pushing a box.
  • I'd prefer the boxes to have a little more gravity. Their collisions with the terrain can get slightly annoying, especially when trying to fit one into the button hole lmao.
  • The button sounds are really soothing and satisfying, but they're quite quiet and can easily get lost behind the other audio.
  • The character can sometimes get stuck on terrain walls. A straighter/simpler wall hitbox might help.
  • The Back button sound, like when returning from level selection to the main menu, completely blew my eardrums LMAO. Annoyingly painful.
  • I loved the menu music! The levels could use a little ambient music or ambience too, just to give each area a bit more atmosphere.
  • The terrain in the forest levels could use a little more visual depth. I genuinely didn't realise there was a path underneath the mountain x ~ x
  • The penguin sprite is SOOO cute!!! Definitely one of my favourite things in the game, especially with the idle animation o w o
  • The tutorial was honestly longer than some of the first levels lmao. Idk, feels weird xd.
  • A bit more UI information could be useful! Things like the current stage, or an indication when the exit gets unlocked.
  • I really loved Level 7 and its theme. The cave and low lighting looked super cool, and the level itself was really fun design-wise. Level 8's platforming, however, got pretty frustrating in comparison.
  • More enemies!! Spikes, hazards, or other obstacles could make the game progressively more difficult, and they could even be themed around each area!
  • A lives system could be nice. Having to redo absolutely everything whenever you die gets a liiiittle annoying, especially in Level 8. This could work really well alongside more enemies, with the whole level only resetting once you run out of lives.
  • Checkpoints could also help if later levels become much longer. Having somewhere to save your progress partway through would make deaths feel much less punishing.
  • Some slabs in Level 6 seem to have slightly incorrect hitboxes.
  • The levels could use a bit more environmental depth overall. More mountains, distant islands, terrain, or background elements would help, since some areas start to feel a little flat after a while.
  • I actually really liked the enemy hitboxes! They felt fair and gave me enough room to manoeuvre around enemies without feeling janky.
  • The keybinds are really well done! I love that you can use either WASD or the arrow keys, especially since you can combine them for movement and jumping. The input can get a little messy sometimes, though. When using only WASD, jumping occasionally didn't register properly if I pressed it slightly too early, which became noticeable on smaller platforms.
  • A little death animation or sound could be cute too! Idk, just a bit of extra feedback when you die lmao.
  • The menu icons, font, and some of the UI elements aren't really my thing personally. They feel a little disconnected from the rest of the game's style. The big ahh tutorial signs are definitely useful, but visually they look pretty out of place lmao. Maybe using little signs that actually match each level's theme, along with cleaner menu sprites and UI, could make everything feel much more polished and cohesive.

Overall, a really cute and short experience uwu. I enjoyed it and had a lot of fun! :3
Btw srry for the long ahh comment x w x

I would love to see further development, I'll be here if so!
