You say the writing is the weakest part, but i genuinely see this game having the potential of being adapted into an anime. Youve probably heard this saying before, but genuinely it applies: "came for the porn, stayed for the story". you should be impressed at how the current story as is locks the players in, not a lot of VN do that.

just wondering if the small bean and icecream sandwich achievements are actually obtainable for the itch version? ive done everything there is to do with the related characters but the achievements refuse to pop

I don't suppose there is any plans to add breathing sfx to the characters for voreplay or just when your head is near their mouths?
