I'm really happy that my comment meant so much for you guys. Thank you and fingers crossed regarding the game. What i wanted to tell you guys about is a tool that i stumbled upon these days and i remembered the troubles you've mentioned in the post, there are some automated tools that do a decent job of porting full scenes from one engine to another (you can search on YouTube as some people test it out and share their thoughts as well). It might require some work after the scenes get ported but it'll still do 90% of the job. Here's a link to the tools that i mentioned: https://relativegames.gumroad.com/ (i am not affiliated in any way, just wanted to share this as it might help in your line of work). Cheers!

peak !

As a godot dev with 3d modeling experience i considered this pack a treasure trove. Got it as soon as i got the email. Never considered godot support a part of the deal (it is appreciated, don't get me wrong, but not mandatory). I want to extend a big thank you to everyone working on this initiative. Great post btw, i enjoyed the read and tbh marketing makes me sad as well: i'm making a game and nothing i do gets any traction.
Cheers!

Are you planning on releasing the book in physical form as well once completed?

Hi! My name is Andrei but people often call me Shmig, I'm a programmer somewhat experienced in Godot engine. I'm looking for a team or an accountability partner that would be willing to make a game together. As far as my skills go, I can provide decent code, 3D modeling skills are irrelevant here, and I'm pretty much mediocre at everything else involved in making a game.

As for previous game jam entries I have only one entry in GWJ#87: /jam/godot-wild-jam-87/rate/4060744 (it was my first attempt to make a 2D game).

I don't have much of a portfolio, but you can check out my (in-progress) game "Tools of the trade" on steam or through the studio's website: https://glitchpixelinteractive.com

If you think we might click and make a game in a couple of evenings hit me up on discord @og_shmiggy. My availability is mostly during the night 21:00-02:00  (EEST), but i might be able to do stuff during the day as well, if the family allows it.

I love the art-style. I'll use these in my game "Tools of the trade" I hope you're fine with that :D.

Super fun take on the Pacman concept. I had fun playing it.

We'll be joining in as well :D.
